Abstract
ABSTRACT DYNAMIC CAVITY-COUPLED PLASMONIC SENSOR FOR SURFACE-ENHANCED RAMAN SPECTROSCOPY (SERS) The present invention relates to a dynamic cavity-coupled plasmonic sensor (100) designed for Surface-Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (SERS) to enhance the detection of biomolecules with high sensitivity and flexibility. The plasmonic sensor (100) comprises a gold nanoparticle-coated glass substrate (102), a variable air gap (106) serving as a photonic cavity, and a gold-coated iron superstrate (108) positioned above. A linear actuator precisely controls the air gap length, allowing dynamic tuning of the cavity to optimize light absorption and signal enhancement through constructive and destructive interference. Unlike conventional SERS substrates requiring new fabrication for each adjustment, this design enables multi-condition analysis using a single substrate, thus reducing cost and complexity. (FIG. 1)
