Description:FIELD OF THE INVENTION
[0001] The present invention relates to a dumpling making device which is capable of preparing the raw dumpling of dough by filling stuffing in automated manner, without any requirement of human intervention, thereby saving time of user and also maintains hygiene.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0002] Dumplings are a versatile and beloved dish in many cuisines around the world, known for their comforting and satisfying qualities. The preparation of raw dumplings involves creating a flavorful filling, encasing in a dough wrapper, and then cooking the dumplings through various methods such as boiling, steaming, or pan-frying. Traditional raw dumplings preparation involves a combination of basic kitchen tools, many of which have been used for generations across various cultures. Like a rolling pin is a classic tool for flattening and rolling out dumpling dough. Traditional wooden rolling pins are widely used, and their length and smooth surface help achieve thin and even dumpling wrappers.
[0003] Although the traditional method of manually making dumplings using rolling pins has proven effective to some extent, it comes with inherent limitations. They rely heavily on the manual skills of the cook. And traditional tools may limit the options for shaping dumplings. While skilled cooks can create various shapes by hand, modern dumpling molds or presses offer more consistent and diverse shapes for those looking to achieve a professional appearance. In traditional methods, there is a serious problem of hygiene as hygiene is not maintained in preparing the dumpling manually due to careless in maintaining all the raw materials used for making dumpling. Unhygienic dumpling further results in serious health problems. Thus, there is a need to develop an innovative tool that provide a more time-efficient and consistent way making dumping where traditional methods may fall short and to meet the evolving demands of modern requirements.
[0004] US9980493B2 discloses an invention provides a dumpling producing method and a dumpling producing device. The method comprises the following steps: cutting a mechanically sheeted dough sheet of a unidirectional texture into dumpling wrappers of a pre-defined shape, filling the stuffing into the dumpling sheet, and wrapping the dumpling wrapper along a fold line at an angle of 0 to 20 degrees to the texture orientation of each dumpling wrapper to produce the dumplings. The device comprises: a cutting mechanism consisting of a cutting unit and a rotating unit, wherein the rotating unit is configured to cause an angle formed between the texture orientation of the dumping wrapper and the fold line to be within 0 to 20 degrees. Although, US'3B2 discloses a dumpling producing method and a dumpling producing device. However, the above mentioned invention lacks in detecting the exact position of the dough piece and accordingly placing a filler in the flattened dough properly then folding the flattened dough in automatic manner.
[0005] CN201504540U discloses a utility model relates to equipment for preparing dumplings. The equipment for preparing the dumplings comprises a cutting mechanism, wherein the cutting mechanism comprises a cutting unit and a rotation unit, and the rotation unit enables the included angle between the grain direction and the joint of dumpling wrappers to be 0-20 degrees. After the dumplings prepared by the equipment are cooked thoroughly, the appearance of the dumplings is full and attractive; and after the dumplings enter the mouth, fillings for the dumplings are compact, soup is abundant, and the mouth feel and the taste are both good. Though, CN'40U discloses a utility model relates to equipment for preparing dumplings. However, the above mentioned invention lacks in preparing the raw dumpling of dough by flattening and folding without any requirement of human intervention properly. The above mentioned invention further lacks in activating and de-activating through user's voice command to prepare the dumpling.
[0006] Conventionally, many devices available which are capable of making a dumpling, but there are no features available by means of which the dumping is prepared in automated manner properly by placing an optimum amount of filling. Additionally, no device available which can activate and de-activate through user's voice command and prepares the dumpling in automated manner.
[0007] In order to overcome the aforementioned drawbacks, there exists a need in the art to develop a device which is capable of flattening a dough in automated manner and accordingly determines the exact position of the dough piece to place a filler in the flattened dough properly then folding the flattened dough to make the dumpling. Also, the proposed device is capable of maintaining hygiene in preparing the dumping while activating and de-activating through user's voice command.
OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION
[0008] The principal object of the present invention is to overcome the disadvantages of the prior art.
[0009] An object of the present invention is to develop a device which is capable of preparing the raw dumpling of dough by flattening and folding in automated manner, without any requirement of human intervention, thereby saving time of the user.
[0010] Another object of the present invention is to develop a device which is capable of determining the position of the dough piece and accordingly placing a filler in the flattened dough properly then folding the flattened dough in automatic manner.
[0011] Another object of the present invention is to develop a device which is capable of enabling the user to operate the device through voice command for making the dumpling without human intervention.
[0012] Yet another object of the present invention is to develop a device which is reliable in nature and is capable of maintaining hygiene in preparing the dumping.
[0013] The foregoing and other objects, features, and advantages of the present invention will become readily apparent upon further review of the following detailed description of the preferred embodiment as illustrated in the accompanying drawings.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0014] The present invention relates to a dumpling making device that is capable of preparing the raw dumpling of dough by flattening and placing a filler in a secured manner without any requirement of human intervention. The proposed device also aids in folding the flattened properly with full hygiene to prevent the dumpling from any deterioration.
[0015] According to an embodiment of the present invention, a dumpling making device comprises of a rectangular base possessing a vertical cylindrical pipe with an iris lid at the bottom for dispensing dough pieces from the pipe that is supported on the base by a pair of L-shaped telescopic rods, a microphone provided on the base for receiving an audio command from the user regarding making dumplings, plurality of circular plates attached on an inner surface of the pipe by hinges for keeping the dough pieces separate from each other, a hopper disposed above the pipe for feeding of the dough pieces in the pipe, an L-shaped rigid member possessing a hydraulic plunger equipped with a circular plate at the end, the member disposed on a sliding unit on the base for flattening of a dough piece, an L-shaped telescopic bar provided on the base and equipped a nozzle connected via a conduit to a pump in a tank on the base for dispensing a filler on the flattened dough in the frame, a cylindrical frame disposed beneath the pipe arranged on the base, multiple oval flaps arranged in a circle within the frame by pivot joints for folding the dough piece after placing of filler in the flattened dough and an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit installed on the base and integrated with a processor for recording and processing images in a vicinity of the base to determine the dough piece dispensed in the frame.

[0022] Referring to Figure 1 and 2, an isometric view of a dumpling making device and an inner view of vertical cylindrical pipe associated with the proposed device are illustrated, respectively comprising a rectangular base 101 possessing vertical cylindrical pipe 102 with an iris lid 201 at the bottom, a pair of L-shaped telescopic rods 103 for supporting the pipe 102 on the base 101, the pipe 102 equipped with multiple circular plates 202 attached on an inner surface of the pipe 102 by hinges 203, a hopper 104 disposed above the pipe 102, an L-shaped rigid member 105 equipped with a hydraulic plunger 106 at a top end, a circular plate 301 arranged at the end of the plunger 106, the member 105 disposed on a sliding unit 107 on the base 101, an L-shaped telescopic bar 115 provided on the base 101 and equipped with a nozzle 108 at an end connected via a conduit 109 to a pump 110 in a tank 111 on the base 101, a cylindrical frame 112 disposed beneath the pipe 102 on the base 101, multiple oval flaps 302 arranged in a circle within the frame 112 attached on a bottom surface of the frame 112 by pivot joints 303, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 113 installed on the base 101 and a microphone 114 provided on the base 101.

The base 101 is made up of material not restricted to wood, metal etc. that provides durability to the components and comfortably accommodate all the components required to perform the specified operation.

The cylindrical pipe 102 is supported on the base 101 by a pair of L-shaped telescopic rods 103. The base 101 is made up of material not restricted to wood, metal etc. that provides durability to the components and comfortably accommodate all the components required to perform the specified operation.
[0025] Further, a hopper 104 is arranged above the pipe 102 for feeding the dough pieces in the pipe 102. The hopper 104 acts as an opening for the dough to get inserted in the pipe 102. The cylindrical pipe 102 further equipped with multiple circular plates 202 (ranges between two to four) attached on an inner surface of the pipe 102 by hinges 203 for keeping the dough pieces separate from each other and are in three to six in number. The motorized hinges 203 comprises of a pair of leaf that is screwed with the surfaces of the inner surface of pipe 102 and circular plate. The leafs are connected with each other by means of a cylindrical member 105 integrated with a shaft coupled with a DC (Direct Current) motor to provide required movement to the hinge. The rotation of the shaft in clockwise and anti-clockwise aids in opening and closing of the hinge respectively that in turn provides movement to the circular plates 202 that act as the barrier for the two consecutive dough pieces and prevents them from any damage by collapsing with each other.
[0026] The base 101 is further arranged with an L-shaped rigid member 105 equipped with a hydraulic plunger 106 at a top end. The plunger 106 is further equipped with a circular plate 301 at the end. The member 105 is disposed on a sliding unit 107 on the base 101 for a flattening of a dough piece. In addition, an L-shaped telescopic bar 115 is provided on the base 101 and is integrated with a nozzle 108 at an end that is connected via a conduit 109 to a pump 110 in a tank 111 on the base 101, for storing a filler for the dumpling. Herein, the nozzle 108 dispenses the filler on the flattened dough in the frame 112.
[0027] Additionally, a cylindrical frame 112 is disposed beneath the pipe 102 and on the base 101. The frame 112 is again arranged with plurality of oval flaps 302 which are in four to six in number and in a circle position at a bottom surface by pivot joints 303. Herein, the plunger 106 with the plate 301 flattens the dough piece dispensed by the iris lid 201 between the flaps 302 and the pivot joints 303 are actuated for a folding of the dough piece after a placing of filler in the flattened dough, as illustrated in figure 3.
[0028] Upon fixing the base 101 over the surface, the user accessed a microphone 114 provided on the base 101 for receiving an audio command from the user regarding making of dumplings. The microphone 114 converts sound of given voice command into electronic signal for further processing. The microphone 114 is constructed with a small magnet that oscillates inside a coil attached to the diaphragm. When user gives a voice command regarding making of dumplings, a sound wave produces and the waves causes the diaphragm of the microphone 114 to vibrate. The relative motion of the magnet and coil changes the given making voice command in an electrical signal by magnetic induction which is sent to a microcontroller associated with the device. The microcontroller processes the acquired signal and interprets the user's command.
[0029] In addition, a wireless communication module is linked with the microcontroller that is provided on the housing for enabling the user to remotely trigger the microcontroller, by connecting with a computing unit. The microcontroller is wirelessly linked with the computing unit via the communication module which includes, but not limited to Wi-Fi (Wireless Fidelity) module, Bluetooth module, GSM (Global System for Mobile Communication) module. The communication module employed herein acts as an intermediate between the computing unit and the microcontroller. The customized Global System for Mobile communication (GSM) module is designed for establishing a wireless connection between computing unit and the microcontroller. This module is able to receive serial data from radiation monitoring devices such as the computing unit and transmit the data to the microcontroller and hence remotely trigger the microcontroller to actuate the user desired component.
[0030] Based on the user's command, the microcontroller activates an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 113 installed in the housing and integrated with a processor for recording and processing images in a vicinity of the base 101 to determine the dough piece dispensed in the frame 112. The artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 113 used herein incorporates AI protocols to enhance its functionality and capabilities to enables immediate responses and faster decision-making. The imaging unit 113 captures images or records videos in the vicinity of the base 101 by the help of specialized lenses. The captured data is pre-processed and is fed into AI protocols for analysis which utilizes machine learning techniques, such as deep learning neural networks, to extract meaningful information from the visual data. This acquired data is processed by the processor and then the microcontroller analysed the processed data to detect the dough piece dispensed in the frame 112.
[0031] In accordance with the detected dough piece dispensed in the frame 112, the microcontroller actuates the sliding unit 107 for translating the plunger 106 near the dough piece. The sliding unit 107 consists of a pair of sliding rail fabricated with grooves in which the wheel of a slider is positioned that is further connected with a bi-directional motor via a shaft. The microcontroller actuates the bi-directional motor to rotate in clockwise and anti-clockwise direction that aids in rotation of shaft, wherein the shaft converts the electrical energy into rotational energy for allowing movement of the wheel to translate over the sliding rail by a firm grip on the grooves. The movement of the slider results in translation of the plunger 106 near the dough piece.
[0032] Upon translating the plunger 106 near the dough piece, the microcontroller actuates the plunger 106 to flatten the dough piece. The plunger 106 is powered by a hydraulic arrangement including an oil reservoir, oil pump, cylinder, valves and piston. The valve is an electronic valve that allows entry/exit of compressed oil from the compressor. Furthermore, the valve opens and the compressed oil enters inside the cylinder thereby increasing the oil pressure of the cylinder. The piston is connected to the cylinder and due to the increase in the oil pressure, the piston extends. For the retraction of the piston, oil is released from the cylinder to the oil reservoir via the valve. Thus providing the required extension/retraction of the pushers that uses this motion to extend and retract the plate 301 for flattening of the dough piece.
[0033] After this, the bar 115 positions the nozzle 108 above of the flattened dough in the frame 112. The bar 115 is powered by a pneumatic unit which includes an air compressor, air cylinder, air valves and piston. The air compressor used herein extract the air from surrounding and increases the pressure of the air by reducing the volume of the air. The air compressor draws atmospheric air and compress to elevated pressure. The compressed air is then sent through a discharge tube into the cylinder across the valve. The compressed air in the cylinder tends to pushes out the piston to extend which extends the bar 115 that positions the nozzle 108 above of the flattened dough in the frame 112.
[0034] In synchronous, the microcontroller actuates the nozzle 108 to dispense the filler on the flattened dough in the frame 112. The electronic nozzle 108 works by utilizing electrical energy to automize the flow of the filler in a controlled flow pattern by converting the pressure energy of the filler into kinetic energy, which increases the fluid's velocity to dispense the filler on the flattened dough in the frame 112. Upon actuation of nozzle 108 by the microcontroller, the electric motor or the pump 110 pressurizes the incoming filler, increasing its pressure significantly. Thus, using this pressure energy, the nozzle 108 dispensed the filler on the flattened dough in the frame 112.
[0035] Upon dispensing the filler on the flattened dough in the frame 112, the microcontroller actuates the pivot joints 303 to rotate the flaps 302 and fold the flattened dough. The pivot joint 303 is a mechanical component that allows rotary movement around a single axis. The pivot joint 303 comprises of a ring structure that is formed on the end of the frame 112 and a cylindrical portion which is carved on the flaps 302 that are linked with each other for enabling rotational movement of the flaps 302. This rotational movement of the flaps 302 results in folding of the flattened dough and thereby, prepares the flattened dough.
[0036] Lastly, a battery is associated with the device to supply power to electrically powered components which are employed herein. The battery is comprised of a pair of electrodes named as a cathode and an anode. The battery uses a chemical reaction of oxidation/reduction to do work on charge and produce a voltage between their anode and cathode and thus produces electrical energy that is used to do work in the device.
[0037] The present invention works best in the following manner, where the rectangular base 101 as disclosed in the invention is possessed with vertical cylindrical pipe 102 with the iris lid 201 at the bottom for dispensing of dough pieces from the pipe 102. Upon activating the device, the user accessed the microphone 114 or the communication module to provide the input command regarding making of the dumpling. Based on the user's command, the imaging unit 113 records and processes the multiple images in a vicinity of the base 101 to determine the dough piece dispensed in the frame 112. In accordance with the detected dough piece, the microcontroller actuates the sliding unit 107 for translating the plunger 106 near the dough piece. Upon translating the plunger 106 near the dough piece, the microcontroller actuates the plunger 106 to flatten the dough piece. After this, the bar 115 positions the nozzle 108 above of the flattened dough in the frame 112. Synchronously, the microcontroller actuates the nozzle 108 to dispense the filler on the flattened dough in the frame 112. Upon dispensing the filler on the flattened dough in the frame 112, the microcontroller actuates the pivot joints 303 to rotate the flaps 302 and folds the flattened dough and thereby, prepares the flattened dough.
[0038] Although the field of the invention has been described herein with limited reference to specific embodiments, this description is not meant to be construed in a limiting sense. Various modifications of the disclosed embodiments, as well as alternate embodiments of the invention, will become apparent to persons skilled in the art upon reference to the description of the invention. , Claims:1) A dumpling making device, comprising:
i) a rectangular base 101 having vertical cylindrical pipe 102 with an iris lid 201 at the bottom for dispensing of dough pieces from said pipe 102, said pipe 102 being supported on said base 101 by a pair of L-shaped telescopic rods 103, said pipe 102 having a plurality of circular plates 202 attached on an inner surface of said pipe 102 by hinges 203 for keeping said dough pieces separate from each other;
ii) a hopper 104 of disposed above said pipe 102 for a feeding of said dough pieces in said pipe 102;
iii) an L-shaped rigid member 105 having a hydraulic plunger 106 at a top end, said plunger 106 having a circular plate 301 at the end, said member 105 disposed on a sliding unit 107 on said base 101, for a flattening of a dough piece;
iv) an L-shaped telescopic bar 115 provided on said base 101, said bar 115 having a nozzle 108 at an end, connected via a conduit 109 to a pump 110 in a tank 111 on said base 101, for storing a filler for said dumpling, where said nozzle 108 dispenses said filler on said flattened dough in said frame 112;
v) a cylindrical frame 112 disposed beneath said pipe 102, on said base 101, a plurality of oval flaps 302 arranged in a circle within said frame 112, attached on a bottom surface of said frame 112 by pivot joints 303, wherein said plunger 106 with said plate 301 flattens said dough piece dispensed by said iris lid 201 between said flaps 302 and said pivot joints 303 are actuated for a folding of said dough piece after a placing of filler in said flattened dough; and
vi) an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 113, installed on said base 101 and integrated with a processor for recording and processing images in a vicinity of said base 101, to determine said dough piece dispensed in said frame 112 to trigger a microcontroller to accordingly actuate said sliding into to place said member 105 on said frame 112, said plunger 106 to flatten said dough piece, actuate said bar 115, said pump 110 and said nozzle 108 dispense filler in said flattened dough and actuate said pivot joints 303 to rotate said flaps 302 and fold said flattened dough.
2) The device as claimed in claim 1, wherein a microphone 114, linked with said microcontroller, provided on said base 101 for receiving an audio command from said user regarding making dumplings to trigger said microcontroller to actuate said rods 103, said iris lid 201 and said hinge to dispense said dough piece in said frame 112, actuate said imaging unit 113, to determine said dough piece dispensed in said frame 112 to actuate said sliding into to place said member 105 on said frame 112, said plunger 106 to flatten said dough piece, actuate said bar 115, said pump 110 and said nozzle 108 dispense filler in said flattened dough and actuate said pivot joints 303 to rotate said flaps 302 and fold said flattened dough.
3) The device as claimed in claim 1, wherein a wireless communication module, linked with said microcontroller, is provided on said base 101 for enabling said user to remotely trigger said microcontroller, by connecting with a computing unit, to actuate said rods 103, said iris lid 201 and said hinge to dispense said dough piece in said frame 112, actuate said imaging unit 113, to determine said dough piece dispensed in said frame 112 to actuate said sliding into to place said member 105 on said frame 112, said plunger 106 to flatten said dough piece, actuate said bar 115, said pump 110 and said nozzle 108 dispense filler in said flattened dough and actuate said pivot joints 303 to rotate said flaps 302 and fold said flattened dough.
4) The device as claimed in claim 1, wherein a battery is associated with said device for powering up electrical and electronically operated components associated with said device.
