Development Of Simple And Flexible Animal Injection System

ORDINARY APPLICATION

Published

date

Filed on 5 November 2024

Abstract

The present invention addresses the challenge of safely administering anesthesia, tranquilizers, or medical remedies to animals to prevent agitation and improve health. A novel injecting mechanism integrated with an ornithopter enables operations from an extended range using radio control, facilitating comfortable piloting for precise take-off and landing on animals. The UAV's landing gear ensures accurate landing, while the tiltable nose section is operated according to the animal’s body for effective injection. This innovation aims to enhance safety for both animals and handlers during procedures, distinguishing it from conventional methods such as dart shooting.

Specification

Description:The proposed solution integrates advanced injecting mechanism with an ornithopter, addressing these challenges in the existing method of injecting animals from a distance, such as shooting darts. The design of the ornithopter is modelled using CATIA and the entire model of the ornithopter is analysed under different environmental conditions. Different values of lift and drag were obtained for different angle of attacks of the wing and the tail sections. Multiple computational investigations were conducted to obtain the structural and aerodynamic properties of the ornithopter. The injecting mechanism is fitted in the nose and the fuselage of the ornithopter to gain some flexibility while injecting. The injection is loaded into the fuselage of the UAV and delivered to the nose section via a push rod, allowing the nose to tilt according to the injection surface for precise and reliable administration. The unique spring mechanism is fitted in the nose section of the ornithopter. [0017] The injection will be fitted inside the ornithopter and can be moved to the nose of the ornithopter with the help of a moving rod. The injecting mechanism consists of a needle, sealing sleeve, pliers, stabilizers, red plunger, control felt, air chamber, stop, plunger black and drug chamber. The drug chamber can accommodate suitable medications tailored to the specific animal to be injected. For redundancy, the ornithopter is equipped to carry two injections. Servo motors enable the tilting of the nose section, ensuring adaptability for injecting various types of animals. The ornithopter's landing gear securely and gently attaches to the animal's body, ensuring a calm landing experience without causing distress. The UAV can glide smoothly onto the animal, minimizing any potential disturbance. , Claims:1. The flexible animal injection system comprising of :
a. a fuselage:
b. wings;
c. a nose section;
d. a landing gear;
e. an empennage.
The system of claim 1, wherein the fuselage carries required payloads including the injecting mechanism and drugs.
2. The system of claim 1, wherein the said wings are attached to the fuselage.
3. The system of claim 1, wherein the nose section is designed to tilt relative to the animal's body.
4. The system of claim 1, wherein the landing gear provides stability to the injecting mechanism.
5. The system of claim 1, wherein the empennage or tail section provides a pitching moment.
6. The system of claim 2, wherein the injecting mechanism comprises of an injection holder, a nose rod, an injection, a pushing rod holder and a hinge.
7. The system of claim 7, wherein the injecting mechanism further comprises of a needle, sealing sleeve, pliers, stabilizers, red plunger, control felt, air chamber, stop, plunger black and drug chamber.
8. The system of claim 7, wherein the injection holder configured as an initial loading place for the injection, wherein the injection is subsequently transferred from the injection holder to the Nose rod for delivery.
9. The system of claim 7, wherein the nose rod is attached to nose section which can tilt according to the orientation of the nose section of the ornithopter.
10. The system of claim 7, wherein the injection is loaded with appropriate drug.

11. The system of claim 7, wherein the pushing rod holder comprises a rod which pushes the injection through the nose rod to inject the animal.
12. The system of claim 7, wherein the hinge connecting the injection holder and the nose rod, facilitating orientation adjustment of the nose rod relative to the nose.
