Abstract
A data encoding method comprises encoding a first point cloud frame comprising first three-dimensional points; and generating a bitstream including encoded data, wherein the encoded data includes a frame index of the first three-dimensional points, the frame index indicates how the first three-dimensional points included in the first point cloud frame are partitioned into one or more second point cloud frames, and each of the one or more second point cloud frames comprises a plurality of three-dimensional points with a same frame index, the plurality of three-dimensional points being included in the first three-dimensional points.
