COMMUNICATION METHOD AND RELATED APPARATUS

Abstract

Provided are a communication method and a related apparatus. The method comprises: an LMF serving a terminal device receiving measurement data of a first positioning procedure, the measurement data of the first positioning procedure comprising information of a first cell, the first cell being a cell of a mobile relay, and the mobile relay having mobility; obtaining first information, the first information being associated with the mobile relay; sending a first request message according to the first information, the first request message being used for triggering to initiate a second positioning procedure for the mobile relay; receiving location information of the mobile relay, the location information of the mobile relay being determined according to a second positioning procedure; and determining the location of the terminal device on the basis of the location information of the mobile relay and the measurement data of the first positioning procedure, so that the problem that the location of the terminal device cannot be calculated by the LMF due to the fact that the cell location is not fixed is solved, thereby facilitating accurately calculating the location of the terminal device.
