COMMUNICATION METHOD AND APPARATUS

Abstract

Provided in the present application are a communication method and apparatus, which are used for enabling a terminal device to report an RLF report which is related to whether link recovery for an MCG is successful. The method comprises: a terminal device respectively communicating with a first network device and a second network device, wherein the first network device manages a first MCG, the second network device manages a first SCG, and the first SCG is configured with an MCG link recovery function; and after determining that a radio link failure (RLF) occurs in the first MCG, the terminal device sending a first RLF report to a third network device, wherein the first RLF report is related to whether link recovery for the first MCG is successful. In this way, a terminal device can report an RLF report which is related to whether link recovery for an MCG is successful, thereby improving the effect of a network device performing mobility optimization on the basis of the RLF report.
