Abstract
[06] The invention introduces a novel system for coupling biomass and coal in a pulverized coal boiler for power generation, operating with both biomass and coal independently. The system includes several key components: a biomass raw material bin for storing biomass feedstock, a star-shaped feeder for feeding biomass into the system, an air preheater to heat incoming air and enhance combustion efficiency, and a steering chamber to direct material flow within the system. Additionally, a flue gas fan facilitates the movement of exhaust gases, while mixed front and rear pipelines carry the mixture of biomass fuel and conveying medium forward and backward. A branch pipe distributes the biomass fuel to various sections, and a pulverized coal conveying pipeline delivers pulverized coal to the combustion area. The coal mill grinds raw coal into a fine powder for efficient burning within the hearth, the combustion chamber. Raw coal is stored in a raw coal bin and fed into the mill by a coal feeder. The system also i

Specification
Description:
The present invention relates to Biomass power generation system and method coupled with coal burner unit.
[02] BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
According to India's electric power development plans, the total installed capacity of renewable wind and solar power is expected to surpass 1,200 million kilowatts by 2030, making these sources the dominant power supply in terms of installed capacity. Despite this growth, wind and solar power face challenges due to their "uncontrollable" nature, with power generation being heavily influenced by natural conditions such as daylight, seasons, weather patterns, and wind availability. In 2019, even with non-fossil energy accounting for just 32.6% of India's power generation, integrating and managing wind and solar power in the grid proved difficult. Therefore, as India transitions from coal-based electricity to a system dominated by renewable energy, coal-fired thermal power will remain essential for stable power production. Enhancing the efficiency, cleanliness, and flexibi , Claims:1. Allows flexible switching between biomass and coal combustion modes without shutting down the furnace.
2. Includes biomass raw material bin, star-shaped feeder, air preheater, steering chamber, mixed biomass fuel and conveying medium pipelines, branch pipes, pulverized coal conveying pipeline, coal mill, hearth, raw coal bin, coal feeder, and primary air cooler.
3. Uses primary and secondary crushers with iron removal modules to process biomass into particles less than 2-5 mm. Dries biomass using flue gases to enhance combustion efficiency.
4. Adjustable baffles and measuring points for pressure, temperature, and flow ensure precise control over combustion parameters in critical pipelines.
5. Detailed process includes biomass preparation (crushing, conveying, storage), drying with flue gases, and combustion processes for biomass and coal, maintaining operational independence and flexibility.
6. Waste gases from biomass processing are treated through dust removal systems to meet emissions standards before d
