BATTERY CELL CAPABLE OF DIRECTIONALLY RELIEVING PRESSURE AND BATTERY MODULE

Abstract

The present application relates to the technical field of batteries. Disclosed are a battery cell capable of directionally relieving pressure and a battery module. The battery cell capable of directionally relieving pressure comprises a housing and a cover plate. The cover plate is snap-fitted on the housing, and is provided with an explosion-proof valve thereon. The explosion-proof valve comprises an arc-shaped indentation and a connection portion. The arc-shaped indentation and the connection portion are connected end to end to form a circular structure. The circular structure divides the cover plate into a circular portion and an annular portion. In case of thermal runaway, a portion where the arc-shaped indentation is located is ruptured, and the circular portion rotates relative to the connection portion to open the explosion-proof valve.
