[0001] The present invention relates to automated sofa repairing device that is capable of repairing sofa in an automated manner by detecting the presence of damaged portion on sofa thereby reducing the physical efforts of the user.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0002] Sofa is an object which is used for sitting purpose. Repairing a damaged sofa might be more cost-effective than replacing it with a new one. In repairing of sofa various difficulties occurs such as more skilled person is required, and manual efforts of user also require and time taken in the process of repairing sofa is more. So there is the need of the invention which is able to solve the problem in an appropriate manner by reducing the physical efforts of the user.

The whole process of repairing sofa is take more skilled person in order to eliminate the damage portion of the sofa. So there is the need of the invention which is able to replace the traditional methods in an appropriate manner.

However, the devices are incapable of repairing sofa in an automated manner thereby fails in reducing the physical efforts of the user. Additionally, these existing devices are lack in detecting the presence of damaged portion on sofa on the leather of sofa and dispenses paint in the damaged portion for repainting the crack.

[0007] In order to overcome the aforementioned drawbacks, there exists a need in the art to develop a device that is capable of repairing sofa in an automated manner by detecting the presence of damaged portion on sofa thereby reducing the physical efforts of the user.

OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION

[0008] The principal object of the present invention is to overcome the disadvantages of the prior art.

[0009] An object of the present invention is to develop a device that is capable of repairing sofa in an automated manner thereby reducing the physical efforts of the user.

[0010] Another object of the present invention is to develop a device that is capable of detecting the presence of damaged portion on sofa on the leather of sofa and dispenses paint in the damaged portion for repainting the crack.

[0011] Another object of the present invention is to develop a device that is capable of enhancing the texture of the sofa by performing scrubbing on the damaged portion through a means provided in proposed invention.

[0012] Yet another objective is to develop a device that is durable and easy to operate.

[0013] The foregoing and other objects, features, and advantages of the present invention will become readily apparent upon further review of the following detailed description of the preferred embodiment as illustrated in the accompanying drawings.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0014] The present invention relates to automated sofa repairing device that is capable of repairing sofa in an automated manner thereby reducing the physical efforts of the user.

[0015] According to an embodiment of the present invention, automated sofa repairing device comprises of a platform developed to be positioned on a ground surface within an enclosure and installed with a plate, a touch enabled screen is installed on the platform for enabling a user to give input commands for maintenance of leather sofa present within the enclosure, a microcontroller linked with the screen that processes the input commands and activates a camera mounted on the plate for capturing and processing multiple images in vicinity of the plate that are processed by the microcontroller via an artificial intelligence protocol encrypted within the microcontroller and displayed on the screen, the user is required to access the screen for selecting exact location at which the maintenance of leather of the sofa is to be done, multiple of motorized omnidirectional wheels configured underneath the platform for maneuvering and positioning the platform in proximity to the sofa, an IR (Infrared) sensor is installed on the plate to monitor presence of damaged/ torn portion of the sofa, a motorized scissor arrangement configured between the platform and plate for lifting and positioning the plate at an optimum height to the damaged/ torn portion of the sofa, a robotic arm installed on the plate and installed with an electronic nozzle connected with a multi-sectioned chamber stored with multiple leather color paint, an optical sensor is mapped on the plate and synced with the imaging unit to detect presence of cracks on leather of the sofa along with color of the leather, the robotic arm for placing the nozzle in proximity to the damaged/ torn portion of sofa and synchronously the microcontroller dispenses a particular paint solution in the damaged/ torn portion in view of repainting the crack.

[0016] According to another embodiment of the present invention, the proposed device further comprises of a flap integrated with multiple of rectangular-shaped members interconnected by means of multiple hinges, the flap is arranged on the body via an extendable L-shaped link to extend for positioning the flap in proximity to the detected crack, the hinges to tilt the member to acquire shape of contours of the seat in order to flatten and smoothen the crack for repairing the crack, an hot air blower installed on the plate to blow hot air over the applied color paint, telescopically operated L-shaped rod is arranged on the plate and integrated with a motorized rotatable brush with the imaging unit to perform scrubbing on the damaged portion in to enhance texture of the sofa, a battery is associated with the device for powering up electrical and electronically operated components associated with the device.

[0023] Referring to Figure 1, an isometric view of an automated sofa repairing device comprising, a platform 1 developed to be positioned on a ground surface within an enclosure and installed with a plate 2, a motorized scissor arrangement 3 configured between platform 1 and plate 2, a robotic arm 4 installed on plate 2 and mapped with an electronic nozzle 5 connected with a multi-sectioned chamber 6, an hot air blower 7 mapped on plate 2.

[0024] The proposed invention comprises of a platform 1 developed to be positioned on a ground surface within an enclosure and installed with a plate 2. The platform 1 is made up of stainless steel that offers a corrosion resistant, strength and durability to the device and is easy to maintain. Further, the microcontroller actuates a touch enabled screen mapped on the platform 1 to allow user to give input commands for maintenance of leather sofa present within enclosure. The touch enabled screen mapped herein consists of multiple tiny electrically active wires. When user touch the options illustrated over the screen, the wires are pressed together and circuit is completed. Which results in flow of voltages across the circuit. That voltage flow is detected by a microcontroller linked with the screen in form of electric signals. Further the signals are processed by the microcontroller thereby allowing user to give input commands for maintenance of leather sofa present within enclosure.

[0025] Thereafter, a microcontroller linked with screen processes input commands and activates a camera mounted on plate 2 for capturing and processing multiple images in vicinity of plate 2 that are processed by microcontroller via an artificial intelligence protocol encrypted within microcontroller and displayed on screen. The camera comprised of a lens and a digital camera sensor, wherein the camera lens takes all the light rays rebounding around the user and utilizes the lenses to transmit them to a single point for creating a sharp image. When all of those light rays rebound back and meet together on a digital camera sensor, create a digital image of the user by performing various operations like pre-processing, feature extraction and classification which is transmitted to the processor. The processor further extracts all the required information from the digital images and transmit to an inbuilt microcontroller associated with the device, which further processes the information shared by the processor in order to determine location where maintenance is to be done. The artificial intelligence protocol encrypted within microcontroller and displayed on screen, wherein user is required to access screen for selecting exact location at which maintenance of leather of sofa is to be done.

[0026] Further, the microcontroller actuates multiple omnidirectional wheels attached underneath platform 1 for maneuvering and positioning platform 1 in proximity to sofa. The omnidirectional wheels have small discs or rollers around the circumference of the wheel, allowing the wheels to move in all directions, which provide the platform 1 with the required movement in proximity to sofa. Herein, the microcontroller actuates an IR (Infrared) sensor mapped on plate 2 to monitor presence of damaged/ torn portion of sofa. The IR (Infrared) sensor comprises of an infrared (IR) emitter and a photodiode. The emitter emits infrared waves of low frequency on the currency which is reflected back to the photodiode. The measured reading is taken into account by the sensor and is send in the form of electrical signal to the sensing module. Thus the microcontroller processes the measured reading received from the sensing module and monitor presence of damaged/ torn portion of sofa.

[0027] Based on the torn portion of sofa, the microcontroller actuates a motorized scissor arrangement 3 attached between platform 1 and plate 2 for lifting and positioning plate 2 at an optimum height to damaged/ torn portion of sofa. The motorized scissor arrangement 3 comprises of a scissor mechanism which is constructed of linked, crisscrossing metal supports that resemble a pair of scissors. When the scissor arm 4 s are extended, the plate 2 is raised and when they retract, the plate 2 is lowered. The scissor mechanism is powered hydraulically in which hydraulic jacks are installed in the mechanism which is linked with a hydraulic unit associated with the arrangement. The hydraulic unit comprises of a hydraulic pump, solenoid valve and hydraulic piston-cylinder. The hydraulic pump used herein extract the hydraulic oil from a reservoir and pressurized the fluid mechanically. The hydraulic pump consists of two main parts including a motor and a propeller. The motor rotates the propeller which uses the energy from the motor drive to draw in hydraulic oil from the reservoir and compress to elevated pressure. The compressed hydraulic oil is then sent through a discharge tube into the cylinder across the solenoid valve. As per the signal from the microcontroller, the solenoid valve opens and allows the entering of the pressurized oil in the cylinder. The solenoid valve comprises of a gate and a magnetic coil, which on energizing generates the magnetic force which tries to push the gate to open and allow the flow of oil in the jack The pressurized oil within the cylinder tend to pushes out the piston out from the cylinder which results in extension hydraulic jacks for raising the plate 2 to at an optimum height to damaged/ torn portion of sofa.

[0028] Herein, the microcontroller actuates an optical sensor mapped on plate 2 and synced with imaging unit to detect presence of cracks on leather of sofa along with color of leather. The optical sensor works by using light to detect the presence of the cracks on leather of the sofa along with color of leather. The optical sensor contains a light emitter and a light detector. On actuation the emitter emits a beam of light which travels through the air until it hits the sofa. If there is a leak or hole in the pipe, then the light beam will be refracted, which causes the intensity of the light to decrease. The light detector then detects the decrease in light intensity and sends a signal to the microcontroller. The microcontroller, after processing the signal, detect the presence of cracks on leather of sofa along with color of leather.

[0029] Depending on the cracks, the microcontroller actuates a robotic arm 4 mapped on plate 2 and installed with an electronic nozzle 5 connected with a multi-sectioned chamber 6 stored with multiple leather color paint. The robotic arm 4 is a type of mechanical arm 4 which is usually available with similar function to a human arm 4 . The segments of such a manipulator are connected by joints allowing either rotational motion or translational displacement. The robotic arm 4 contains several segments that are attached together by joints also referred to as axes. The robotic arm 4 contains several segments that are attached together by motorized joints also referred to as axes. Each joints of the segments contains a step motor that rotates and allows the robotic arm 4 to complete a specific motion in translating the equipped roller over the foil for placing nozzle 5 in proximity to damaged/ torn portion of sofa.

[0030] Simultaneously, the microcontroller actuates the nozzle 5 to dispense a particular paint solution in damaged/ torn portion for repainting crack. The nozzle 5 comprises of a gate and a magnetic coil which uses electricity from microcontroller to generate the force to control the opening/closing of gate to control the flow of a cleaning solution through a small aperture of the nozzle 5, allowing for precise control of the flow of the paint solution thereby dispensing a particular paint solution in damaged/ torn portion for repainting crack.

[0031] Herein, a flap is attached with multiple rectangular-shaped members interconnected by means of multiple hinges and positioned on the body via an extendable L-shaped link that is actuated by microcontroller to extend for positioning flap in proximity to detected crack. The extendable L-shaped link is powered by a pneumatic unit consist of an air compressor, air valves, a piston. The air compressor used herein extract the air from surrounding and increases the pressure of the air by reducing the volume of the air. The air compressor consists of two main parts including a motor and a pump. The motor powers the compressor pump which uses the energy from the motor drive to draw in atmospheric air and compress to elevated pressure. The compressed air is then sent through a discharge tube into the cylinder across the valve. The compressed air in the cylinder tends to pushes out the piston to extend which extends for positioning flap in proximity to detected crack.

[0032] Further, the microcontroller actuates hinges to tilt member to acquire shape of contours of seat in order to flatten and smoothen crack for repairing crack. The hinge are mechanical bearings that are used to connect two swinging objects or points to one another and give them the freedom to move relative to each other. Hinges have limited movement, allowing the joint to move only at one angle and restrict the other movements of swinging parts thereby tilting member to acquire shape of contours of seat to flatten and smoothen crack for repairing crack.

[0033] Thereafter, the microcontroller actuates a hot air blower 7 installed on plate 2 to blow hot air over applied color paint. The comprises of a heater, vortex, impeller and an outlet duct. The blower 7 increase the pressure of the absorbed air by a series of vortex motions formed by the centrifugal movement of the impeller. When the impeller is rotating, the channels in the impeller push the absorbed air forward through a heater, that increase the temperature of the absorbed air by creating the centrifugal movement that generates a helical movement of the air. During this centrifugal movement, the absorbed air is continuously compressed along the channel and the pressure increases linearly. The pressurized air is transferred from the outlet duct of the blower 7 to blow hot air over applied color paint.

[0034] Herein, a telescopically operated L-shaped rod is positioned on plate 2 and attached with a motorized rotatable brush that is actuated by microcontroller in sync with imaging unit to perform scrubbing on damaged portion in to enhance texture of sofa. The telescopically operated L-shaped rod is powered by a pneumatic unit which aids in positioning of the motorized rotatable brush in proximity to sofa. The motorized rotatable brush comprises of multiple bristles and coupled to a DC motor performs scrubbing on the damaged portion to enhance texture of the sofa.

The level sensor consists of a measuring cell which detects the pressure on the measuring cell of the sensor when put into certain depth in the color paint stored within chamber 6. The microcontroller evaluates the level of color paint by analyzing the detected pressure value, pre-set density and gravity value.

Further, the microcontroller actuates the motorized scissor arrangement 3 for lifting and positioning plate 2 at an optimum height to damaged/ torn portion of sofa. Herein, the optical sensor and synced with imaging unit to detect presence of cracks on leather of sofa along with color of leather. Thereafter, the microcontroller actuates the robotic arm 4 for placing nozzle 5 in proximity to damaged/ torn portion of sofa and synchronously microcontroller dispenses a particular paint solution in damaged/ torn portion for repainting crack. Herein, flap integrated with multiple rectangular-shaped members interconnected by means of multiple hinges via an extendable L-shaped link that is actuated by microcontroller to extend for positioning flap in proximity to detected crack. Thereafter, the microcontroller actuates hinges to tilt member to acquire shape of contours of seat to flatten and smoothen crack for repairing crack. Further, the microcontroller actuates the hot air blower 7 to blow hot air over applied color paint. Thereafter, the microcontroller actuates telescopically operated L-shaped rod and integrated with a motorized rotatable brush that is actuated by microcontroller in sync with imaging unit to perform scrubbing on damaged portion in to enhance texture of sofa.

Various modifications of the disclosed embodiments, as well as alternate embodiments of the invention, will become apparent to individuals skilled in the art upon reference to the description of the invention. , Claims:1) An automated sofa repairing device, comprising:

i) a platform 1 developed to be positioned on a ground surface within an enclosure and installed with a plate 2, wherein a touch enabled screen is installed on said platform 1 for enabling a user to give input commands for maintenance of leather sofa present within said enclosure;

ii) a microcontroller linked with said screen that processes said input commands and activates a camera mounted on said plate 2 for capturing and processing multiple images in vicinity of said plate 2 that are processed by said microcontroller via an artificial intelligence protocol encrypted within said microcontroller and displayed on said screen, wherein said user is required to access said screen for selecting exact location at which said maintenance of leather of said sofa is to be done;

iii) plurality of motorized omnidirectional wheels configured underneath said platform 1 that are actuated by said microcontroller for maneuvering and positioning said platform 1 in proximity to said sofa, wherein an IR (Infrared) sensor is installed on said plate 2 to monitor presence of damaged/ torn portion of said sofa, in accordance to which said microcontroller actuates a motorized scissor arrangement 3 configured between said platform 1 and plate 2 for lifting and positioning said plate 2 at an optimum height to said damaged/ torn portion of said sofa;

iv) a robotic arm 4 installed on said plate 2 and installed with an electronic nozzle 5 connected with a multi-sectioned chamber 6 stored with multiple leather color paint, wherein an optical sensor is mapped on said plate 2 and synced with said imaging unit to detect presence of cracks on leather of said sofa along with color of said leather, in accordance to which said microcontroller actuates said robotic arm 4 for placing said nozzle 5 in proximity to said damaged/ torn portion of sofa and synchronously said microcontroller dispenses a particular paint solution in said damaged/ torn portion in view of repainting said crack;

v) a flap integrated with plurality of rectangular-shaped members interconnected by means of multiple hinges, wherein said flap is arranged on said body via an extendable L-shaped link that is actuated by said microcontroller to extend for positioning said flap in proximity to said detected crack, followed by actuation of said hinges to tilt said member to acquire shape of contours of said seat in order to flatten and smoothen said crack for repairing said crack; and

vi) an hot air blower 7 installed on said plate 2 that is actuated by said microcontroller to blow hot air over said applied color paint, wherein telescopically operated L-shaped rod is arranged on said plate 2 and integrated with a motorized rotatable brush that is actuated by said microcontroller in sync with said imaging unit to perform scrubbing on said damaged portion in to enhance texture of said sofa.

2) The device as claimed in claim 1, wherein a level sensor is arranged within each of said chamber 6 for detecting level of said color paint stored within said chamber 6, wherein in case detected water level recedes a threshold level, said microcontroller sends an alert on a computing unit associated with said device for notifying said user to re-fill said container.

3) The device as claimed in claim 1 and 2, wherein said microcontroller is wirelessly linked with said computing unit via a communication module which includes, but not limited to Wi-Fi (Wireless Fidelity) module, Bluetooth module, GSM (Global System for Mobile Communication) module.

4) The device as claimed in claim 1, wherein a battery is associated with said device for powering up electrical and electronically operated components associated with said device.
