Abstract

ABSTRACT An augmented reality based navigation system (100) comprising a positioning module (102) configured to track location of a user in real time, plurality of sensors (104) coupled to the positioning module (102), wherein the plurality of sensors (104) is configured to determine position of the user in real time, at least one processor (106) coupled to the positioning module (102) and the plurality of sensors (104), wherein the at least one processor (104) is configured to determine an efficient path based at least on the real time location and position of the user and an augment reality device (108) coupled to the at least one processor (106), wherein the augmented reality device (108) comprises a user interface (110) configured to display directional cues to navigate the user and update the directional cues over the augmented reality device (108) in real time.

[0001] This invention generally relates to navigation system and in particular relates to an augmented reality based navigation system.
BACKGROUND

[0003] Navigation is an essential part of daily life, facilitating movement across various environments, including urban areas, complex buildings, and remote locations. Efficient navigation aids are particularly critical in environments where traditional GPS-based systems may be limited or wher , Claims:1. An augmented reality based navigation system (100), the system (100) comprising:
a positioning module (102) configured to track location of a user in real time;
plurality of sensors (104) coupled to the positioning module (102), wherein the plurality of sensors (104) is configured to determine position of the user in real time;
at least one processor (106) coupled to the positioning module (102) and the plurality of sensors (104), wherein the at least one processor (104) is configured to determine an efficient path based at least on the real time location and position of the user; and
an augment reality device (108) coupled to the at least one processor (106), wherein the augmented reality device (108) comprises:
a user interface (110) configured to display directional cues to navigate the user and update the directional cues over the augmented reality device (108) in real time.
