Specification

Description:FIELD OF THE DISCLOSURE
[0001] This invention generally relates to an automated system for marking attendance and, more particularly, to a system leveraging facial recognition and cloud computing for quick and efficient attendance tracking in educational institutions.
BACKGROUND

[0002] The subject matter discussed in the background section should not be assumed to be prior art merely as a result of its mention in the background section. Similarly, a problem mentioned in the background section or associated with the subject matter of the background section should not be assumed to have been previously recognized in the prior art. The subject matter in the background section merely represents different approaches, which in and of themselves may also correspond to implementations of the claimed technology.
[0003] Traditional attendance marking methods, such as manual roll calls or signature sheets, are inefficient and time-consuming, often leading to delays and inaccuracies. Automated attendance systems addr , Claims:WE CLAIM:
1. An attendance marking system (100), comprising:
a user interface with facial recognition capabilities to verify student identities;
a positioning module in the application to confirm the student's presence within a designated area;
a matching functionality to authenticate the user interface used for marking attendance; and
a backend database to store and retrieve attendance data in real-time, accessible to authorized personnel.

2. The system (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the user interface generates and requires a unique attendance code to ensure session-specific attendance tracking.

3. The system (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the attendance data is securely stored in a cloud database accessible via a user-friendly interface for real-time reporting and monitoring.
