Specification
Description:FIELD OF THE INVENTION:
This invention relates to anti-drone technology, particularly to a portable device capable of targeted electromagnetic disruption to neutralize unauthorized drones. This device provides a directed countermeasure to disable or control unauthorized drones within restricted airspace. ________________________________________
3. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION:
With the growing prevalence of drones in various sectors, including commercial, recreational, and surveillance applications, there has been an increase in drone-related security threats. Unauthorized drones pose risks in critical areas like airports, military installations, and secure government facilities. Current anti-drone measures often rely on physical barriers or non-specific jamming devices, which may disrupt unintended electronic devices.
Thus, there is a need for a portable, targeted, and efficient device that can detect and disable unauthorized drones using a focused electromagnetic beam without affecting nearby electronic systems. ________________________________________
4. OBJECTIVES OF THE INVENTION:
1. To neutralize Unauthorized Drones in Restricted Areas.
2. To provide Targeted Electromagnetic Disruption.
3. To minimize Collateral Interference.
4. To enhance Portability for Field Deployment. ________________________________________
5. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION:
The present invention is a portable anti-drone gun equipped with Targeted Electromagnetic Disruption (TED) technology, designed to neutralize drones through electromagnetic interference. This anti-drone gun is configured to emit a focused electromagnetic pulse or signal toward a specific drone, disrupting its communication with its controller or disabling its navigation system, thereby forcing it to land or return to the operator.
The device includes a detection mechanism to identify drones, a targeting mechanism for accurate direction, and an electromagnetic emission system for generating disruption signals. The compact design allows for easy handling by security personnel, and the targeted nature of the signal minimizes interference with other devices in the vicinity. ________________________________________
6. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION:
The invention comprises the following main components:
a) Detection System
The anti-drone gun includes a detection system with radar, infrared sensors, or radio frequency (RF) detection capabilities. Upon activation, this system scans the area for drones by identifying drone-specific signals or movements. Once a potential drone is detected, the system confirms the target as a drone based on predefined signal signatures.
b) Targeting System
The targeting system includes a scope or camera for the operator to visually locate and aim at the drone. The targeting system is coupled with a distance-measurement module that calculates the optimal range for emission. An automatic tracking mechanism may be included, allowing the device to lock onto and follow the drone's movements.
c) Electromagnetic Disruption System
The core functionality of the invention lies in its electromagnetic disruption system, which generates a directed electromagnetic pulse or continuous-wave signal tuned to disrupt the drone's operational frequency bands. The electromagnetic disruption is capable of affecting communication signals, navigation signals, or control protocols, depending on the requirements.
The disruption system is powered by a battery pack housed within the anti-drone gun. The device is designed to operate at specific frequencies to minimize interference with other devices and conforms to regulatory standards for electromagnetic emissions.
d) Portable Configuration
The anti-drone gun is configured to be lightweight and portable, making it easy for security personnel to carry and deploy in various environments. The gun may include a shoulder strap, ergonomic handle, and trigger mechanism for ease of operation.
e) Safety Mechanism
A built-in safety mechanism prevents accidental activation and ensures the device operates only in controlled conditions. This feature can include a fingerprint or authorization-based lock to prevent unauthorized use.
The complete prototype is presented in the three drawings 1,2 and 3.
, C , Claims:I/We claim:
1. A portable anti-drone gun comprising a detection system, a targeting system, and an electromagnetic disruption system, configured to detect, target, and neutralize unauthorized drones by emitting a directed electromagnetic signal.
2. The anti-drone gun as claimed in claim 1, wherein the detection system is equipped with radar, infrared sensors, or RF detection capabilities for identifying drones within a specific range.
3. The anti-drone gun as claimed in claim 1, wherein the targeting system includes an optical scope or camera with a distance-measuring module to aid the operator in aligning the device with the drone.
4. The anti-drone gun as claimed in claim 1, wherein the electromagnetic disruption system is configured to emit pulses or continuous-wave signals targeted at frequencies used by drones for communication and navigation.
5. The anti-drone gun as claimed in claim 1, wherein the device further comprises an ergonomic handle, shoulder strap, and compact battery pack for easy portability.
