FIELD OF INVENTION

The present invention is related to transportation and healthcare domain. Particularly,
the present invention is relates to is to enhance passenger health and hygiene on
Indian Railways. More particularly, the present invention is relates to an on board
medical dispenser system for passenger wellbeing on the tracks using iot. This
invention can provide timely access to essential medical supplies, improving
10 passenger safety and comfort during rail journeys. This invention can be used to
provide first aid supplies, medication, and medical devices to passengers experiencing
health emergencies during their train journeys.

Prior Art:
This invention relates to an on board medical dispenser system for passenger
wellbeing on the tracks using iot. Currently, there's a notable gap in train travel
services: a lack of readily accessible medical and hygiene products for passengers.
This deficiency becomes even more pronounced when considering the integration of
Passenger Name Records (PNRs). While PNRs offer personalized experiences, they
haven't been fully leveraged to ensure passengers have the necessary supplies at
their fingertips. This means that passengers often find themselves unprepared to
handle minor ailments or hygiene needs during their journeys.

locking compartments". This innovative system and method offer a convenient solution
for dispensing medication. The dispensing apparatus features an array of
compartments with individual lids that can be securely locked or unlocked. An actuator
mechanism automatically unlocks specific.lids at predetermined times, allowing users
to easily access the medication stored within. Each compartment contains a
removable cup for convenient storage and retrieval. Additional features like
communication, messaging, and audible/visual displays can enhance the user
experience.

Another prior art CN107978849B, titled "Microstrip antenna structure and microwave
imaging system applying same". The invention proposes a microstrip antenna

substrate with a ring-shaped microstrip structure on one side and a signal transmission

The system monitors compliance by tracking when users access specific cups, based
on actions like opening lids or placing cups in and out of the correct orifices. To ensure
continuous medication availability, cups can be refilled either individually or using
prefilled trays. An onboard processor stores and manages the treatment schedule, which can be customized and reprogrammed. To enhance convenience and
monitoring, the system can connect to a wired or wireless server, enabling
communication with interested parties and providing a graphical user interface.

Another prior art US20210394370A1, "Intelligent robotic nursing system". An
intelligent robotic nursing system comprises a medical platform vehicle that can
navigate autonomously or with manual guidance within a health care facility. This robot
10 is equipped to carry out various medical tasks. Additionally, the system incorporates
an extensive database containing information on symptomatic patients ·from around
the globe. This data is utilized by healthcare professionals to facilitate early disease
detection and the administration of appropriate treatments to patients.

system". A system incorporates one or more sensors capable of detecting the
movements of a mobile object. These sensors are connected to a processor and a
wireless transceiver. The processor is tasked with analysing sequences of motions
and categorizing them into groups of similar postures, each represented by a unique
20 model. By applying these models, the system can effectively identify the specific
activities being performed by the mobile object.
Another prior art US 1 0025908B 1, titled "Medication adherence systems and
methods". An automated medication dispensing system and device is designed to
25 ensure accurate medication administration. Equipped with sensors and a processor,
this device stores multiple medication doses and dispensing information. When

medication at the prescribed time. To verify proper medication intake, the system
utilizes various built-in and patient-worn sensors that monitor drug consumption and

cassettes. The system can be configured through an on board interface or remotely,
using internet or local wireless connectivity.

presents some potential drawbacks. These include the need for reliable internet
connectivity to ensure system functionality and data transmission, the risk of system
failures or malfunctions that could impact access to medical supplies, and the potential

time, as technological advancements and changing medical needs could render it
outdated.

an on board medical dispenser system for passenger wellbeing on the tracks using iot.
OBJECTIVE OF THE INVENTION

dispenser system for passenger wellbeing on the tracks using iot.
2. Another object of this invention is to provide a convenient and accessible
means for passengers to obtain essential medical and hygiene products without
the need to disembark and search for external facilities.
3. Yet another object of this invention is to reduce the stress and inconvenience
associated with unexpected health issues during travel.
4. Another object of this invention is to ensure that passengers have access to
necessary supplies in case of emergencies or unexpected health needs.
5. Another object of this invention is to promote preventive healthcare by providing
easy access to essential items like sanitizers and first-aid supplies.
6. Another object of this invention is to utilize PNR information to tailor product
offerings based on passenger demographics (age, gender), ensuring that the
system provides appropriate and relevant items.
7. Another object of this invention is to implement real-time inventory tracking and

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION:
The Onboard Medical Dispenser System is an innovative loT-powered solution
designed to enhance passenger well-being during train travel. It provides easy access
to essential medical and hygiene products, ensuring passenger comfort and safety.
The system integrates a microcontroller, servo motor, LCD display, keypad, enclosure,
power supply, and Wi-Fi module to deliver a comprehensive solution.
The heart of the system, the microcontroller (1) serves as the central processing unit.
It manages all system operations, including communication with the Wi-Fi module (7),
controlling the servo motor, and processing data from the keypad and LCD display (3).

It receives and validates passenger PNR numbers, determines the appropriate
products to dispense based on passenger information, and controls the dispensing
process.
Servo motor (2) is connected to the microcontroller and responsible for accurately
5 dispensing the selected products. It receives commands from the microcontroller (1)
and moves to the correct position to dispense the desired item.
LCD Display (3) is interfaced with the. microcontroller and provides a user-friendly
interface for passengers. It displays instructions, available product options, stock
availability information, and error messages. The microcontroller sends data to the
10 LCD, which then renders it on the screen.

The keypad (4) allows passengers to input their PNR numqer and make selections
from the available product options. It is connected to the microcontroller, which
receives and processes the input data.
The enclosure (5) houses all the system components, providing a protective and
secure environment. It is designed to be easily installed within a train car. Power
Supply (6) provides the necessary electrical energy to operate the system. It can be a
rechargeable battery or connected to the train's power supply.The Wi-Fi module
enables wireless communication with a remote server. It allows the system to validate
PNR numbers, check product availability, and transmit data for inventory management
20 and analysis. The microcontroller communicates with the Wi-Fi module to send and
receive data.
METHOD OF PERFORMING THE INVENTION
25 Upon powering on, the system initializes its components and establishes a Wi-Fi (7)
connection to the remote server. The LCD display (3) welcomes the passenger and

prompts for their 10-digit PNR number, which is then entered on the keypad (4). The
microcontroller (1) subsequently sends the PNR number to the remote server for
validation.
The system displays available product options (e.g., sanitary pads, over-the-counter
medicines) based on the validated PNR. Passengers select their desired product using
the keypad (4), and the microcontroller (1) then sends a request to the remote server
to check if the product is in stock.

The system confirms the availability of the selected product with the remote server. If
the product is in stock, the microcontroller (1) activates the servo motor to dispense it
from its designated position. The remote server updates the inventory records to
reflect the dispensed product, while the LCD displays (3) a message indicating
5 successful dispensing or an "Out of Stock" message if the product is unavailable. The
system automatically shuts down to conserve power if there is no user activity for a
specified period of time.

wellbeing on the tracks using iot comprising the· steps of:
a. receiving a passenger's pnr number via said keypad (4);
b. validating the received pnr number using said microcontroller (1) and
said wi-fi module (7);
c. displaying available product options on said led display (3);
d. receiving a product selection from the passenger via said keypad (4);
e. checking the availability of the selected product using said
microcontroller (1) and said wi-fi module (7);
f. dispensing the selected product using said servo motor (2) if it is
available;
g. displaying an "out of stock" message on said led display (3) if the product
is not available; and
h. recording the transaction and updating inventory levels in the remote
server using said wi-fi module (7).
