Abstract
In an embodiment, the present disclosure relates to an offboard charger (104) for charging an electric vehicle (108). The offboard charger comprises charging modules (112) for charging an electric vehicle (108). Further, the offboard charger (104) comprises a reconfiguration circuit (110) comprising one or more switching elements. The reconfiguration circuit (110) is configured to receive an input current from an Alternative Current (AC) power source for charging the electric vehicle (108). Further, the reconfiguration circuit (110) is configured to connect the charging modules (112) into one of, a first configuration and a second configuration, based on a voltage range of a battery associated with the electric vehicle (108), using the one or more switching elements, for charging the electric vehicle (108).
