Description:FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a temperature monitoring and protection system for plastic lump shredders in the plastic industry. More particularly, the invention provides a device for real-time temperature monitoring, analysis, and overheat protection of plastic lump shredders, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Plastic lump shredders are essential equipment in the plastic industry for reducing the size of plastic waste and facilitating recycling or further processing. However, these machines generate significant heat during operation and are susceptible to overheating, potentially leading to equipment damage, safety hazards, and production downtime.Conventional temperature monitoring solutions for plastic lump shredders often lack real-time monitoring capabilities, remote access, and advanced analytics. This limitation hinders the ability of operators to proactively address potential overheating issues and optimize machine performance.
Therefore, there is a need for an innovative temperature monitoring and protection system that provides real-time temperature data, remote monitoring capabilities, and an effective overheat protection mechanism to ensure the safe and efficient operation of plastic lump shredders in the plastic industry.
Followings are some prior arts to the present invention:
US10576476B2 A shredding machine for domestic or office use having a feed passage leading to a cutting mechanism powered by an electric motor, has a thickness measuring device for measuring the thickness of bundles of paper fed through the feed passage and the machine is controlled by a microprocessor which receives signals from the thickness measuring device and prevents the cutting mechanism from being energised if the thickness measured is above a threshold determined by the microprocessor. The thickness gauging device is deactivated during shredding until the material is shredded so that rippling or flapping of the material within the feed passage will not cause false readings as to the amount of material inserted into the feed passage.
CN201275825Y The prior art provides an utility model relates to a plastics shredder which comprises a frame, a motor, a reduction box, a shaft wheel, blades, a discharge hopper, a push head, an oil cylinder, a hydraulic device and an electric control device; wherein, the hydraulic device is connected with the oil cylinder, the motor is connected with the reduction box through a transmission belt, the operation shaft wheel with a rotary blade is arranged on the frame, a fixed blade base is mounted on the frame on both sides of the shaft wheel, and a fixed blade is mounted on the fixed blade base. In operation mode, the push head pushes the crushed material to the operation shaft wheel under the effect of a piston rod, and the rotary blade on the shaft wheel is enabled to continuously cut and shred material. The plastics shredder has firm and reliable structure, convenient operation and high efficiency, and can shred waste plastic material in various shapes, specifications and sizes into block material with granularity of 40-80mm; thereby, the plastics shredder is good equipment for ensuring the crushing process of waste plastic material to operate smoothly.
None of the prior art indicate above either alone or in combination with one another disclose what the present invention has disclosed.

The present invention addresses the aforementioned needs by providing an External Device for Temperature Monitoring and Analytic Device for Plastic Lump Shredder in the Plastic Industry with Overheat Protection and Shutdown. The device comprises a Customized ATmega32 Board as the central processing unit, a Temperature Sensor for real-time temperature monitoring, an ESP32 Wifi Board for internet connectivity, a Relay Module for overheat protection, an HMI Display for on-site data visualization, an RTC Module for accurate timestamping, an SD Card Module for local data storage, and a buzzer for audible alerts.
The device continuously monitors the temperature of the plastic lump shredder and provides real-time temperature data and alarms to both an on-site HMI display and a remote web dashboard. In the event of overheating, the device triggers a shutdown mechanism to prevent damage and ensure safety.
To further clarify advantages and features of the present invention, a more particular description of the invention is rendering by reference to specific embodiments thereof, which is illustrated in the appended drawing.
