Abstract
The present invention discloses an Artificial Intelligence (AI) based Virtual Reality (VR) kiosk (100). The kiosk (100) includes an enclosure (102), a work space defined in front of the enclosure (102), a head mounted display (112) connected to the enclosure (102), a hand controller (124) connected to the enclosure (102), and a touchscreen (128) disposed at the front of the enclosure (102). The kiosk (100) further includes a microcontroller configured with AI-driven analytics and predictive algorithms. The kiosk (100) further includes a sensor and an infrared camera in communication with the microcontroller. In the kiosk (100), the work space is defined by a top wall (104), a floor (106) and two side walls (108) extending from the enclosure (102) towards the front of the enclosure (102). Further, the sensor is configured to detect the height of the user, and the infrared camera is configured to capture the user’s behaviour.

Fig. 1 illustrates a perspective view of an Artificial Intelligence (AI) based Virtual Reality (VR) kiosk, in accordance with an exemplary embodiment of the present invention;
Fig. 2 illustrates a front view of the of the AI based VR kiosk, in accordance with an exemplary embodiment of the present invention;
Fig. 3 illustrates a side view of the AI based VR kiosk, in accordance with an exemplary embodiment of the present invention; and
Fig. 4 illustrates a perspective view of a protracting and retracting assembly for protracting and retracting a head mounted display, in accordance with an exemplary embodiment of the present invention.
, C , Claims:WE CLAIM:
An Artificial Intelligence (AI) based Virtual Reality (VR) kiosk (100), comprising:
an enclosure (102);
a work space defined in front of the enclosure (102) for a user;
a head mounted display (112) connected to the enclosure (102) and configured to be worn by the user on the head;
a hand controller (124) connected to the enclosure (102) and configured to be held by the user;
a touchscreen (128) disposed at the front of the enclosure (102) for the user to interact;
a microcontroller arranged within the enclosure (102), the microcontroller is configured with AI-driven analytics and predictive algorithms; and
a sensor and an infrared camera disposed on the front of the enclosure (102), and is in communication with the microcontroller
wherein,
the work space is defined by a top wall (104), a floor (106) and two side walls (108) extending from the enclosure (102) towards the front of the enclosure (102),
the sensor is configured to detect the height of the user and communicate the height to the microcontroller,
the infrared camera is configured to capture the user's behaviour and communicate the user's behaviour to the microcontroller.
The AI based VR kiosk (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the kiosk (100) further includes a case (114) mounted on the top wall (104) for storing the head mounted display (112).
The AI based VR kiosk (100) as claimed in claim 2, wherein the case (114) includes a UV lamp for sterilizing the head mounted display (112).
The AI based VR kiosk (100) as claimed in claim 2, wherein the kiosk (100) further includes a protracting and retracting assembly (116) for protracting and retracting the head mounted display (112), the protracting and retracting assembly comprising:
a cable winding unit (118) having a cable connected to the head mounted display (112);
a motor (120) connected to the cable winding unit (118) and configured to rotate the cable winding unit in both clockwise and anticlockwise direction; and
a pulley (122) positioned between the cable winding unit (118) and the head mounted display (112), and configured to support the cable.
The AI based VR kiosk (100) as claimed in claim 4, wherein the protracting and retracting assembly (116) is configured to protract the head mounted display (112) based on the height of the user received from the sensor to the microcontroller.
The AI based VR kiosk (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the kiosk (100) further includes a hand controller tray (124) embedded with a sensor for detecting the hand controller.
The AI based VR kiosk (100) as claimed in claim 6, wherein the kiosk (100) further includes an alert system for alerting the user when the hand controller (124) is placed incorrectly on the hand controller tray (126).
The AI based VR kiosk (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the floor (106) includes a tactile mat (110) for establishing a haptic boundary for the user.
