Abstract

This invention provides a connecting means (500) for securing a plurality of metal tubes (310, 320) eliminating the need for inert gas and brazing rods during on-site installations and a process for manufacture of metal tubes incorporating said means (500). The process involves expanding one end (315) of a metal tube (310), applying an anti-oxidising agent to a brazing coil (400), inserting the treated brazing coil (405) into the expanded end (315) of the tube (310), and securing it with a specialized adhesive (510). This technique simplifies the installation process, reduces labour costs, and minimizes the risk of errors, making it particularly advantageous for large-scale piped gas supply and HVAC systems. The modular nature of the invention also enhances the safety and environmental aspects of the installation process. This innovative approach ensures a robust, durable bond, promoting the longevity and reliability of piped gas supply and HVAC systems. Figure for Abstract: Figure 7B.

FIELD OF THE INVENTION:

[001] The present invention pertains to the field of metal fabrication and, more specifically, to an advanced method for securing a plurality of tubes which is particularly useful in applications requiring durable metal joints.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION:

[002] The process of joining metals, particularly through methods such as welding, brazing, and soldering, is a cornerstone in the manufacturing and construction industries. These traditional methods typically involve the application of high heat to melt or soften the metals, allowing them to fuse together upon cooling. The use of brazing rods in construction, particularly for HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) and piped gas supply installations, presents several challenges that can impact the efficiency and safety of the process.

[003] Firstly, the preparation of the base metals is crucial for successful brazing; they must be impeccably clean to allow the filler metal to flow freely and form a strong , Claims:WE CLAIM:
1. A connecting means (500) for connecting metal tubes, said means comprising:
a metal tube (310) being expended on one end (315);
a brazing coil treated with an anti-oxidising agent (405);
an adhesive (510);
wherein the treated brazing coil (405) is secured to the internal surface of the expanded end (315) of the tube (310) using adhesive (510).

2. The connecting means (500) as claimed in claim 1, wherein a second tube (320) preferably identical to the tube (310) is inserted inside the expanded end (315) of the tube (310) and the brazing coil (405) is secured between the internal surface of the expanded end (315) of the tube (310) and the inserted end of the second tube (320).

3. A process of manufacturing a metal tube (310) incorporating a connecting means (500) comprising the following steps:
mechanically expanding one end (315) of the metal tube (310);
applying adhesive (510) to the internal surface of the expanded portion (315) of the metal tube (310);
inserting and securing a treated bra
