In today's fast-paced digital age, where the screen dominates individual attention, act of reading holds a timeless allure. It's the rustle of pages turning in a beloved book from friction to non-friction, poetry to prose. While reading readers need stable and adjustable surface for accommodating readable like book or newspaper. So an equipment needs to be developed that is facilitates accommodable place to accommodates individuals readable.

Also the proposed furniture monitors strain experienced on the user's arm while turning pages of the book or writing on the page and accordingly provides comfortable support to user hand, thus allows user hand to relief and relax.

OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION

[0012] Yet another object of the present invention is to develop a furniture that is capable to chance orientation of the proposed furniture at a required orientation with respect to the user, thereby user read the readable in user desired orientation.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0014] The present invention relates to an adjustable reading assistive furniture capable of providing assistance to a user in reading readable such as books, novel, newspapers, thereby enhancing reading experience for individuals with varying need. Additionally the proposed furniture is also capable of monitoring strain experienced on the user's arm while turning pages of the book or writing on the page and accordingly provides comfortable support to user hand, thus aiding relief to the user hand.

[0015] According to an embodiment of the present invention, an adjustable reading assistive furniture, comprising a platform developed to be positioned on a fixed surface, plurality of suction units are integrated underneath the platform for adhering the platform on the surface, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit installed on the platform and integrated with a processor for capturing and processing multiple images in vicinity of the platform, respectively to determine height of a user present in proximity to the platform, an angle sensor is integrated on the platform and synced with the imaging unit for monitoring angle of the user with respect to the platform, a plate arranged on top of the platform by means of multiple telescopically operated links that are actuated by an inbuilt to extend/retract for orienting the plate at a required orientation with respect to the user, a microphone is integrated on the plate for receiving voice command of the user regarding any changes regarding orientation of the plate with respect to the platform, a motorized ball and socket joint integrated in between each of the links and platform that are actuated by the in sync with the imaging unit for providing tilting movement to the rods with respect to the platform which results in bending of the plate with respect to the user as per the user-specified orientation in order to allow the user to position a book or page on surface of the plate.

[0016] According to another embodiment of the present invention, the proposed furniture further comprises of a vacuum pump installed over the platform that is actuated by the to create negative pressure underneath the plate which is experienced on surface of the plate by means of multiple holes crafted on the plate resulting in adhering of the book or page on surface of the plate for stabilizing the book or page in order to facilitate the user in reading the page or book, a thermal sensor is installed on the plate for monitoring strain experienced on the user's arm while turning pages of the book or writing on the page and in case the monitored strain exceeds a threshold strain, the actuates a motorized gripper mounted on the plate to position a curved cushioned flap integrated with the gripper, underneath the user's arm for providing comfort to the user while moving the user's arm, a battery is configured with the platform for providing a continuous power supply to electronically powered components associated with the furniture.

The suction unit typically consist of a suction pump, conduit, and suction catheter for adhering the platform 101 on the surface. The pump generates a negative pressure, creating a vacuum in the unit. The artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 103 is equipped with AI (Artificial Intelligent) protocols encrypted in the microcontroller are used to process and analyses the images captured by the camera enabling it to perform various tasks beyond traditional image capturing.

[0026] The AI analysis is performed locally on the camera itself and the real-time processing on the camera enables immediate responses and faster decision-making. The camera, herein captures images of the in vicinity of the platform 101 with the help of specialized lenses designed to capture high-quality visuals. The captured data is now pre-processed via the processor to enhance its quality and prepare it for AI analysis. This pre-processing involves tasks such as noise reduction, image stabilization, or color correction. The processed data is fed into AI protocols for analysis which utilizes machine learning techniques, such as deep learning neural networks, to extract meaningful information present in the images. Based on extraction of the data from the captured images, the microcontroller determine height of a user present in proximity to the platform 101.

[0027] Consequently, an angle sensor is integrated on the platform 101 and synced with the imaging unit 103 for monitoring angle of the user with respect to the platform 101. The angle sensor used herein is preferably an optical angle sensor that use light beams and optical detectors to measure changes in light reflection or transmission caused by the angle of the user with respect to the platform 101. As the angle changes, the amount of light reflected or transmitted varies, allowing the sensor to calculate the angle. The angle sensor provides an output signal to the microcontroller for processes the signal. The microcontroller upon receiving the signal compares the received signal with the pre-fed data stored in the microcontroller database and based on the compared data, the microcontroller monitors angle of the user with respect to the platform 101.

The telescopically operated links 105 as disclosed herein is pneumatic unit comprises of an air compressor, air cylinder, air valves and piston. The air valve that allows entry or exit of the compressed air from the compressor. Furthermore, the valve opens and the compressed air enters inside the cylinder thereby increasing the air pressure of the cylinder. The piston is connected to the cylinder and due to the increase in the air pressure, the piston extends due to which the telescopically operated links 105 extend/retract for orienting the plate 104 at a required orientation with respect to the user.

[0029] The plate 104 equipped with a microphone 106 or receiving voice command of the user regarding any changes regarding orientation of the plate 104 with respect to the platform 101. The microphone 106 as mentioned above is receives sound waves generated by energy emitted from the voice command in the form of vibrations. After then, the sound waves are transmitted towards a diaphragm configured with a coil. Upon transmitting the waves within the diaphragm, the diaphragm strikes with the waves due to which the coil starts moving the diaphragm with a back-and-forth movement in presence of magnetic field generated from the coil.

Upon processing the voice commands, the microcontroller actuates a motorized ball and socket joint integrated in between each of the links 105 and platform 101 and in sync with the imaging unit 103 for providing tilting movement to the rods with respect to the platform 101.

The ball and socket joint is a coupling consisting of a ball joint securely locked within a socket joint, where the ball joint is able to move in a 360-dgree rotation within the socket thus, providing the required rotational motion to the rods. The ball and socket joint is powered by a DC (direct current) motor that is actuated by the microcontroller thus providing tilting movement to the rods with respect to the platform 101 which results in bending of the plate 104 with respect to the user as per the user-specified orientation in order to allow the user to position a book or page on surface of the plate 104.

The thermal sensor as disclosed herein is detects the thermal energy or the heat emitted by user's arm and covert the heat into an electronic signal. The microcontroller upon receiving the signal compares the received signal with the pre-fed data stored in the microcontroller database and based on the compared data, the microcontroller monitoring strain experienced on the user's arm while turning pages of the book or writing on the page.

The battery is linked to the microcontroller and provides (DC) Direct Current to the microcontroller. After that the vacuum pump 201 creates negative pressure underneath the plate 104 which is experienced on surface of the plate 104 by means of multiple holes 202 resulting in adhering of the book or page on surface of the plate 104 for stabilizing the book or page in order to facilitate the user in reading the page or book. Moreover, the thermal sensor monitors strain experienced on the user's arm while turning pages of the book or writing on the page and in case the monitored strain exceeds a threshold strain, the actuates the motorized gripper 107 mounted on the plate 104 to position a curved cushioned flap 108 integrated with the gripper 107, underneath the user's arm for providing comfort to the user while moving the user's arm.

Various modifications of the disclosed embodiments, as well as alternate embodiments of the invention, will become apparent to persons skilled in the art upon reference to the description of the invention. , Claims:1) An adjustable reading assistive furniture, comprising:

i) a platform 101 developed to be positioned on a fixed surface, wherein plurality of suction units 102 are integrated underneath said platform 101 for adhering said platform 101 on said surface;
ii) an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 103 installed on said platform 101 and integrated with a processor for capturing and processing multiple images in vicinity of said platform 101, respectively to determine height of a user present in proximity to said platform 101, wherein an angle sensor is integrated on said platform 101 and synced with said imaging unit 103 for monitoring angle of said user with respect to said platform 101;
iii) a plate 104 arranged on top of said platform 101 by means of multiple telescopically operated links 105 that are actuated by an inbuilt microcontroller to extend/retract for orienting said plate 104 at a required orientation with respect to said user, wherein a microphone 106 is integrated on said plate 104 for receiving voice command of said user regarding any changes regarding orientation of said plate 104 with respect to said platform 101;
iv) a motorized ball and socket joint integrated in between each of said links 105 and platform 101 that are actuated by said microcontroller in sync with said imaging unit 103 for providing tilting movement to said rods with respect to said platform 101 which results in bending of said plate 104 with respect to said user as per said user-specified orientation in order to allow said user to position a book or page on surface of said plate 104; and
v) a vacuum pump 201 installed over said platform 101 that is actuated by said microcontroller to create negative pressure underneath said plate 104 which is experienced on surface of said plate 104 by means of multiple holes 202 crafted on said plate 104 resulting in adhering of said book or page on surface of said plate 104 for stabilizing said book or page in order to facilitate said user in reading said page or book.

2) The furniture as claimed in claim 1, wherein a thermal sensor is installed on said plate 104 for monitoring strain experienced on said user's arm while turning pages of said book or writing on said page and in case said monitored strain exceeds a threshold strain, said microcontroller actuates a motorized gripper 107 mounted on said plate 104 to position a curved cushioned flap 108 integrated with said gripper 107, underneath said user's arm for providing comfort to said user while moving said user's arm.

3) The furniture as claimed in claim 1, wherein a battery is configured with said platform 101 for providing a continuous power supply to electronically powered components associated with said furniture.
