The device is also capable of accommodating the user's foot for providing comfort to user while playing of the keyboard and also capable of covering the keyboard when it is not is use.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0002] Keyboard instrument holding has undergone significant evolution to meet the diverse needs of musicians. Historically, keyboard instruments like pianos and organs were often placed on stationary surfaces or specially designed stands. However, the advent of portable keyboards and synthesizers necessitated the development of more flexible holding solutions. Modern keyboard stands comes in various styles including X-stands, Z-stands, and A-frames catering to different sizes and weights of keyboards.

[0003] Traditional methods of holding keyboard instruments primarily involved stationary setups, such as placing them on tables or specially designed wooden stands. While these methods were functional and provided stability, they lack portability and flexibility. Moving keyboard from one location to another location was cumbersome and often requires disassembly and reassembly. Limiting their use in different venues. Additionally, stationary setups restricted the musician's ability to adjust the height and angle of the keyboard to suit their playing preferences potentially leading to discomfort or strain during extended performances. So, there is need for such device that is capable of accommodating the keyboard in a secured manner and provides ease to user in doing the task on the keyboard instrument and accommodating the user's arm while doing playing for providing comfort to the user.

[0004] US20030131720A1 discloses an electronic keyboard musical instrument that gives the performance feeling closer to that given by an acoustic piano and enables techniques of expression closer to those used when playing the acoustic piano. Touch information is generated based on first information output when an ON event of a first (deep) SW of a switch section occurs, and a tone generator section generates a musical tone according to the touch. When an OFF event of a third (shallow) SW of the switch section occurs during key release, the musical tone being generated is progressively damped, and at the same time a musical tone having a predetermined characteristic is generated. The OFF event of the third SW is made equivalent to a damper-leaving position in a key stroke of an acoustic piano keyboard.

[0005] US5812116A discloses a low profile and light weight keyboard for portable electronic devices, such as notebook computers. In specific embodiments, the present invention provides a low profile keyboard where the keycap engaging members extend unobstructed below the back plate or circuit board. The travel of the key below the back plate may be eliminated from the overall stowed keyboard thickness by popping up the keyboard or otherwise extending the keyboard to a deployed position having sufficient thickness to accommodate the travel of the engaging members below the base.

[0006] Conventionally, many devices are exist that are capable of holding keyboard instrument. However, these devices fail in accommodating the keyboard in a secured manner and provides ease to user in doing the task on the keyboard instrument such as piano, Casio etc. These devices do not accommodating the user's arm while playing for providing comfort to the user.

[0007] In order to overcome the aforementioned drawbacks, there exists a need in the art to develop a device that is capable of accommodating the keyboard in a secured manner and provides ease to user in doing the task on the keyboard instrument such as piano, Casio etc. The device also accommodating the user's arm while playing for providing comfort to the user.

[0021] The present invention relates to an adaptable keyboard instrument holding device that is capable of accommodating the keyboard in a secured manner and provides ease to user in doing the task on the keyboard instrument and accommodating the user's arm while doing playing for providing comfort to the user.

[0022] Referring to Figure 1, an isometric view of an adaptable keyboard instrument holding device is illustrated, comprising a frame 1, plurality of legs 2 are arranged the frame 1, a platform 3 mounted on the frame 1, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 4 installed on the frame 1, plurality of extendable plates 5 arranged on peripheral portion of the platform 3, a curved member 6 arranged on the platform 3, a pair of links 7 arranged on lower portion of the legs 2 and attached with a foot rest 8 and an extendable inverted L-shaped cover 9 arranged on the platform 3.

[0023] The proposed device comprises of a frame 1 which is positioned on a ground surface and under the frame 1 plurality of legs 2 are arranged for supporting the frame 1 on the surface. Over the frame 1, a platform 3 is mounted on the frame 1 that is accessed by a user for accommodating a keyboard on the platform 3. Initially, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 4 which is installed on the frame 1 determines dimensions of the keyboard.

[0024] The imaging unit 4 comprises of a processor and a camera which on actuation capture the multiple image of the vicinity of the frame 1. The camera is comprised of a lens and a digital camera sensor, wherein the camera lens takes all the light rays rebounding around the vicinity of the frame 1 and utilizes the lenses to transmit them to a single point for creating a sharp image. When all of those light rays rebound back and meet together on a digital camera sensor, create a digital image of the vicinity of the frame 1 by performing various operations like pre-processing, feature extraction and classification which is transmitted to the processor.

[0025] The processor further extracts all the required information from the digital images and transmit to an inbuilt microcontroller associated with the device, which further processes the information shared by the processor in order to detect the dimension of the keyboard and based on which microcontroller actuates plurality of extendable plates 5 arranged on peripheral portion of the platform 3 to get extended for securely accommodating the keyboard on the platform 3. The extension of the plates 5 are powered by a drawer arrangement integrated in each plates 5.

[0026] The drawer arrangement consist of a motor, hollow compartment and multiple compartments that are connected with sliders. After actuating by the microcontroller, an electric current passes through the motor of the drawer mechanism and energized the motor. The energized motor further actuates the compartments which are initially at the stowed condition to move in a successive manner within the hollow compartment and extends length of the compartments. Simultaneously, each of the compartments having a fixed groove track, wherein upon actuation of the slider, the motor of the slider gets energized and provides a movement to the compartment to move in a linear direction on the groove track of the successive compartment as directed by the microcontroller and extends length of the plates 5 for securely accommodating the keyboard on the platform 3.

[0027] Further, a proximity sensor which integrated on the frame 1 gets actuated by the microcontroller to work in synced with the imaging unit 4 for monitoring distance of the frame 1 from the user. The proximity sensor used herein is preferably a capacitance based proximity sensor which comprises of a high-frequency oscillator along with a sensing surface formed by two metal electrodes and when the electricity flow in the electrode, an electrostatic field is generated around the electrodes. When user comes close to the sensing surface, it enters the electrostatic field of the electrodes and changes the capacitance of the oscillator and as a result, the oscillator circuit starts oscillating and changes the output state of the sensor when it reaches certain amplitude. The deflection in the amplitude of the oscillator is detected by the microcontroller and also based on which the microcontroller determines distance.

[0028] Simultaneously a motion detection sensor which is integrated on the frame 1 also gets actuated by the microcontroller to work in synchronization with the imaging unit 4 for monitoring movement of the user's hand with respect to the keyboard. Based on the output of both of sensors, microcontroller actuates a curved member 6 arranged on the platform 3 to get deployed for allowing the user to accommodate the user's arms on the members 6. The deployment of the curved member 6 is powered by a hinge joint which is a piece of metal that interconnects the member 6 with platform 3 and allows member 6 to be oriented by revolving along the longitudinal axis whose operation is governed by a bi-directional direct current motor that is linked with the microcontroller.

[0029] The bi-directional direct current motor is capable of converting direct current into mechanical work by following the principle of Lorentz Law which states that, the current carrying conduction when placed in magnetic or electrical field experiences a force known as Lorentz force. Such that the motor converts the electrical current derived from an external source into a mechanical torque for providing the required power to the hinges to orient the plates 5. When the motor rotates, then provides movement to the hinge followed by which the member 6 also rotates in to be oriented for allowing the user to accommodate the user's arms on the members 6.

[0030] Further, a pair of links 7 arranged on lower portion of the legs 2 for holding a foot rest 8 integrated in between the links 7 for allowing the user to accommodate the user's foot on the flap for allowing comfort to the user while playing the keyboard. If the user is found to be absent from proximity of the frame 1 then the microcontroller directs a timer is integrated with the microcontroller for monitoring time duration of absence and as soon as the monitored time duration matches a pre-determined time duration, the microcontroller actuates an extendable inverted L-shaped cover 9 arranged on the platform 3 to acquire a cover 9 on the accommodated keyboard.

[0031] The extension of the cover 9 is powered by a pneumatic unit associated with the device and includes an air compressor, air valves, and a piston. The air compressor used herein extract the air from surrounding and increases the pressure of the air by reducing the volume of the air. The air compressor is consist of two main parts including a motor and a pump. The motor powers the compressor pump which uses the energy from the motor drive to draw in atmospheric air and compress to elevated pressure. The compressed air is then sent through a discharge tube into the cylinder across the valve. The compressed air in the cylinder tends to pushes out the piston to extend which extends the cover 9 to acquire a cover 9 on the accommodated keyboard when the keyboard is not in use.

[0032] A battery is associated with the device to supply power to electrically powered components which are employed herein. The battery is comprised of a pair of electrode named as a cathode and an anode. The battery use a chemical reaction of oxidation/reduction to do work on charge and produce a voltage between their anode and cathode and thus produces electrical energy that is used to do work in the device.

[0033] The present invention works well in the following manner where a frame 1 which is positioned on a ground surface and under the frame 1 plurality of legs 2 are arranged for supporting the frame 1 on the surface. Over the frame 1, a platform 3 is mounted on the frame 1 that is accessed by a user for accommodating a keyboard on the platform 3. Initially, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 4 which is installed on the frame 1 determines dimensions of the keyboard and based on which microcontroller actuates plurality of extendable plates 5 arranged on peripheral portion of the platform 3 to get extended for securely accommodating the keyboard on the platform 3. The extension of the plates 5 are powered by a drawer arrangement integrated in each plates 5. Further, a proximity sensor which integrated on the frame 1 gets actuated by the microcontroller to work in synced with the imaging unit 4 for monitoring distance of the frame 1 from the user. Simultaneously a motion detection sensor which is integrated on the frame 1 also gets actuated by the microcontroller to work in synchronization with the imaging unit 4 for monitoring movement of the user's hand with respect to the keyboard. Based on the output of both of sensors, microcontroller actuates a curved member 6 arranged on the platform 3 to get deployed for allowing the user to accommodate the user's arms on the members 6. Further, a pair of links 7 arranged on lower portion of the legs 2 for holding a foot rest 8 integrated in between the links 7 for allowing the user to accommodate the user's foot on the flap for allowing comfort to the user while playing the keyboard.
