Description:FIELD OF THE INVENTION

[0001] The present invention relates to an adaptable device for a seating of a barber and a customer that provides adaptable seating for a barber and a customer and integrate a means for rotational and translational movement of the barber's seating assembly relative to the customer's seating assembly, thus facilitating optimal positioning for haircutting.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0002] The seating arrangement of a barber and their customer is a crucial aspect of the barbering experience deeply rooted in tradition and functionality. Traditionally, barbershops features a barber's chair positioned centrally within the shop often elevated on a pedestal for easy access and visibility The iconic chair typically swivels and reclines allowing the barber to maneuver comfortably around the customer while providing various grooming services. The customer sits in the chair facing a large mirror enabling them to communicate preferences and observe the barber's work. This setup fosters a sense of rapport and trust between the barber and customer facilitating open dialogue and ensuring satisfaction with the grooming process. Additionally, the surrounding space may include waiting areas or additional seating for companies creating a social atmosphere where patrons engage in conversation and camaraderie.

[0003] In traditional barbershops the seating arrangement of the barber and customer follows a time-honored structure designed for efficient grooming and interaction. The centerpiece is typically the barber's chair placed prominently to offer a clear view of the shop. The customer occupies this chair facing a large mirror to guide the barber in understanding their preferences and to allow them to monitor the grooming process. However, this setup has its drawbacks. For instance, the fixed position of the barber's chair may not accommodate individuals with mobility issues or those requiring specialized seating arrangements. Moreover, the close proximity of the customer to other patrons sometimes compromise privacy and comfort during grooming sessions. Additionally, the lack of adjustable features in traditional barber chairs may result in discomfort for both the customer and the barber during extended periods of use. So, there is need of such device that is capable of providing adaptable seating for a barber and a customer and integrate a means for rotational and translational movement of the barber's seating assembly relative to the customer's seating assembly, thus facilitating optimal positioning for haircutting.

[0004] WO2016185494A1 discloses a chair for barbers or hairdressers having a revolving barber's seat and an auxiliary revolving seat attachment for the existing hydraulic chairs for barbers and/or hairdressers to work whilst seated wherein said seat is adapted cantilever. The chair comprises a base, a hydraulic system for raising or lowering a customer's seat and a revolving seat system adapted between the base and a hydraulic system. This allows the user to rotate the barber's seat freely in 360 degrees around the customer's seat. The chair is simple, easy to assemble and has a long life.

[0005] JP2004275319A discloses a chair for a barber/beauty shop, which can hold a seat face at an elevated location such that an operator can perform his/her operation while maintaining the head of a customer in a position protruding from a backrest of the chair even if the customer is a child or an adult having a large sitting height. The chair for the barber/beauty shop is formed of a seat section divided into a front seat face and a rear seat face which are held in a vertically movable manner individually from each other, a front seat face elevating mechanism for elevating/lowering the front seat face, a rear seat face elevating mechanism for elevating/lowering the rear seat face; a driving mechanism for driving the front seat face elevating mechanism and the rear seat face elevating mechanism, and controlling elevating/lowering operation of the front seat face elevating mechanism and the rear seat face elevating mechanism.

[0006] Conventionally, many devices are exist that are capable of providing seating of a barber and a customer. However, these devices fail in providing adaptable seating for a barber and a customer and integrate a means for rotational and translational movement of the barber's seating assembly relative to the customer's seating assembly, thus facilitating optimal positioning for haircutting. These devices do not projects an image of a desired haircut onto the customer's head, aiding the barber in achieving precision and accuracy during the haircutting process.

[0007] In order to overcome the aforementioned drawbacks, there exists a need in the art to develop a device that is capable of providing adaptable seating for a barber and a customer and integrate a means for rotational and translational movement of the barber's seating assembly relative to the customer's seating assembly, thus facilitating optimal positioning for haircutting. The device also projects an image of a desired haircut onto the customer's head, aiding the barber in achieving precision and accuracy during the haircutting process.
