Abstract

The present invention pertains to an absorbent body that includes a first water absorption layer and a second water absorption layer laminated on the first water absorption layer. The first water absorption layer includes water-absorbing resin particles (I) that exhibit a saline solution retention amount of 32-80 g/g and that exhibit a 1-minute lock-up height of not more than 1.6 cm. The second water absorption layer includes water-absorbing resin particles (II) that exhibit a 1-minute lock-up height of more than 1.6 cm.
