Description:TECHNICAL FIELD
[0001] The present invention relates to an internet-enabled informatics platform designed specifically to address the well-being, lifestyle guidelines and self-management of stress, anxiety and depression among youth.
BACKGROUND ART
[0002] Background description includes information that may be useful in understanding the present invention. It is not an admission that any of the information provided herein is prior art or relevant to the presently claimed invention, or that any publication specifically or implicitly referenced is prior art.
[0003] Studies recommends that there is a need to promote personalized Digital health intervention (DHI). The intervention should have the ability to engage individuals by sending personalized messaged, reminders or alerts to increase motivation. Another study finding suggest that as young people have interest in DHIs, so the intervention should develop to increase engagement and which combination of technology can help young people to live health lifestyle.
[0004] Hollis et al in 2016 shows that there is a urgent need for effective, usable and accessible digital innovations could close the mental health treatment gap and ensure evidence-based mental health interventions reach young people who need them most.
[0005] Previous research has explored that the India's response to meet the mental health needs of 252 million young people between 15 and 24 years is guided by the Mental Healthcare Act 2017 (MHCA), which advocates a rights-based approach to receiving mental healthcare, the National Mental Health Policy 2014, and the National Mental Health Program operational since 1982. We undertook a comprehensive narrative review of policies, programs, and legislations across five ministries of the Government of India-Health and Family Welfare, Education, Women and Child Development, Youth Affairs and Sports, and Social Justice and Empowerment-over the last ten years to map their approach and identify enablers and barriers for promoting youth mental health in India.
[0006] The previous reviews on children and adolescents' mental health in India and captures the rapidly advancing policy landscape amidst the new challenges and opportunities presented by the COVID-19 pandemic, especially the increasing acceptability of digital health interventions including tele-consultations. We note that all the five ministries recognized mental health as an important aspect of overall development and well-being of young people.
[0007] However, their approach is fragmented and a comprehensive approach to youth mental health is missing in the Indian context. Having said that, many enablers for integration of preventive, promotive, and curative mental health interventions exist especially as mental health is increasingly being recognized as an integral part of the comprehensive primary healthcare. However, much needs to be done in terms of strategic planning for screening, early detection and treatment, and developing strong referral systems between community, schools and mental healthcare services.
[0008] Effective implementation of MHCA, sustainable intersectoral integration of mental health across youth-oriented services, empowerment of young people, and judicious use of digital technology hold the key to reimagining the approach to advance young people's mental health in India.
[0009] Well-being is a positive and sustainable condition that allows individuals or groups and nations to thrive and flourish. It is the combination of feeling good and functioning effectively. It combines both physical and mental health which lead to prevention of disease and health promotion. It is related with health, job, family, and economically-related benefits.
[0010] There is relation between higher levels of well-being with decreased risk of disease, illness, fast recovery, improved immune functioning and increased longevity. If the well-being level is high, individual will be more productive at work and will contribute more to their communities.
[0011] Young people of age 10-24 years contribute to one fourth of the total world population. Young people constitutes approximately one quarter of global population, but in South Asia and Africa, one in three people is a young person. As per Registrar General of India, 34.8% of India's population is between 15-34 years of age and projected to 34.1% by 2021.
[0012] The mental health/ psychological problem is evolved during this developmental phase in life, it will continue till adulthood. These problems may lead to other comorbities which will result in poor quality of life.
[0013] Hence, there is a dire need for the development of a model for the identification of human nature.

[0014] The principal object of the present invention is to Development of internet enabled informatics platform to enhance well-being, self-management of anxiety and depression among youth.
[0015] An object of the present invention is to Identify the factors that influence well- being among youth.
[0016] Another object of the present invention is to enhance self-management of stress, anxiety, nutrition among youth.
