Abstract
A THERMAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR A HEAT GENERATING COMPONENT The present disclosure relates to a thermal management system (100) for a heat generating component (10). The system (100) includes a housing (1) structured to accommodate the heat generating component (10). A portion of the heat generating component (10) is immersed in a two-phase cooling fluid (2) contained in the housing (1). The system (100) further includes a cover member (3) removably coupled to the housing (1). The system further includes a vapor compression refrigeration module (VCRM) (4) fluidly coupled to the cover member (3). The VCRM (4) includes an evaporator unit (5). The evaporator unit (5) includes a cold plate (5a), a heat exchanging coil (5b), and at least one of a honeycomb and a hexagonal shaped protrusions (5c) defined on a surface of the cold plate (5a) to exchange heat with the two-phase cooling fluid (2) contained in the housing (1).
