Abstract
ABSTRACT A SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETECTION OF MOLECULES The present invention relates to a system and method designed for real-time detection of molecules using Surface-Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (SERS). The system incorporates a substrate coated with polyelectrolyte layers and incubated with gold nanoparticles, which enhances the Raman signals for detecting trace molecules. It features a compact setup with a laser source, tungsten light source, USB digital camera, and spectrophotometer, enabling both imaging and spectroscopic analysis. The substrate preparation includes a five-layer polyelectrolyte structure with gold nanoparticles, which enhances the sensitivity and specificity of the Raman signal. The present invention is ideal for field-based applications and point-of-care diagnostics, offering a cost-effective, portable, and highly sensitive solution for real-time molecular analysis. (FIG.1)
