Specification

Description:DESCRIPTION:
Field of the invention:
[0001] The present invention relates to the technical field of personal care devices, and more particularly relates to, a multi-functional hair comb designed for mixing and dispensing aloe vera and other hair care ingredients directly onto the scalp, thereby enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of hair care routines.
Background of the invention:
[0002] The personal care industry has witnessed a significant evolution in the development of tools and devices aimed at enhancing hair care routines. Over the years, consumers have become increasingly conscious of their hair health and the efficacy of the products they use, thereby leading to a growing market for specialized hair care solutions. Traditional methods of applying hair care products, such as gels, oils, and serums, often involve multiple steps that can be time-consuming and cumbersome. For instance, a user may need to apply a product using their hands, followed by the use of a comb or brush to distribute it evenly. This disjointed process requires additional time and increases the likelihood of product waste, as excess product may remain on the hands or in the application tool. Moreover, frequent switching between multiple products can create confusion, thus leading to a lack of consistency in hair care routines.
[0003] Furthermore, users typically rely on manual application methods, which can lead to uneven distribution of products, thereby resulting in patchy treatment areas that may not deliver the desired benefits. These inconsistencies can diminish the effectiveness of the treatments, thus leaving users frustrated and dissatisfied. Additionally, the risk of a messy application process can deter users from adhering to regular hair care routines, ultimately affecting the health and appearance of their hair. This is particularly important as many users are seeking solutions that enhance the aesthetic qualities of their hair and promote overall hair health.
[0004] Conventional hair care tools, such as combs and brushes, primarily serve a single function, such as detangling or styling hair, without integrating the capability to mix and dispense treatment products. The traditional comb, while effective in managing hair texture and style, is limited in its ability to accommodate the application of nourishing ingredients. For example, standard combs lack any mechanism for incorporating hair care ingredients, thereby leaving users to apply products separately with their hands or with traditional applicators. This separation of functions can be frustrating for users who seek a more streamlined and efficient hair care experience. The inability to mix treatments directly within the comb itself further restricts the effectiveness of the products, as proper blending is often necessary to achieve the desired results. Consequently, the consumers are left searching for alternative solutions that can facilitate a more integrated approach to hair care, but such solutions remain scarce in the current market.
[0005] Existing devices, such as scalp applicators and hair oil applicators, provide targeted application. However, they lack the functionality to mix ingredients effectively or ensure even coverage. While these applicators may allow for more precise delivery of certain products, they often do not address the critical need for proper mixing, which can enhance the efficacy of the treatment. For instance, devices that feature a spray mechanism, such as the double-rowed comb capable of spraying water, focus solely on distribution rather than the blending of multiple ingredients. Such devices are useful for quick moisture application but do not cater to users looking for comprehensive treatment solutions. The limited versatility of these devices means that users must often invest in multiple tools, thus leading to increased costs and clutter in their hair care arsenal.
[0006] Similarly, multi-purpose hairbrushes may offer various styling features, such as heated bristles or built-in reservoirs for conditioning sprays, but they do not address the need for incorporating and dispensing treatment products directly onto the scalp. This gap in the market highlights the demand for a more versatile tool that combines mixing and application functions, thereby elevating the overall user experience. Users are increasingly looking for products that can simplify their routines while providing effective results, yet conventional tools fail to meet these evolving needs.
[0007] Additionally, hair coloring composition devices exist for mixing hair dyes, but they do not cater to the needs of those seeking nourishing treatments such as aloe vera. These conventional devices often require additional tools for application, thus complicating the process and detracting from the user experience. For example, users of hair dye mixing tools must still rely on brushes or applicators to apply the product to their hair, which can introduce inconsistencies in coverage and lead to the frustration of cleaning up excess dye. This disconnect is particularly frustrating for consumers who are looking for holistic solutions that address multiple aspects of hair care in one streamlined device.
[0008] Moreover, the focus on coloring products means that these devices overlook the growing trend of using natural, plant-based treatments, such as aloe vera, which are sought after for their moisturizing and healing properties. Aloe vera is renowned for its benefits, including hydration, scalp health, and promoting hair growth, making it a popular choice for those seeking nourishing treatments. As consumers increasingly gravitate toward holistic hair care solutions, the lack of specialized devices designed to mix and dispense these treatments highlights a significant void in the market. This underscores the need for innovation that aligns with the desires of modern consumers for more natural and effective hair care options.
[0009] The advent of natural hair care ingredients, particularly aloe vera, has increased demand for products that not only provide nourishment but also allow for convenient application. Aloe vera is known for its moisturizing and healing properties, making it a favored choice among users who prioritize hair health. However, the application of aloe vera, especially when mixed with other beneficial ingredients, can be labor-intensive and inefficient when using traditional tools. This labor-intensive nature of application can lead to user fatigue and reluctance to engage in regular treatment routines, ultimately detracting from the overall hair care experience.
[0010] Therefore, there is a need for a multi-functional hair comb designed for mixing and dispensing aloe vera and other hair care ingredients directly onto the scalp, thereby enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of hair care routines. There is also a need for a multi-functional hair comb that integrates the functionalities of mixing, dispensing, and applying hair care products into a single tool, thereby streamlining the hair care process, elevating the user experience by ensuring even application, and minimizing product waste. Further, there is also a need for a multi-functional hair comb that caters to the evolving demands of consumers seeking convenient and effective hair care options.

[0069] According to an exemplary embodiment of the invention, FIG. 7 refers to a perspective view of the multi-functional hair comb 100 depicting the operation of the mixing unit 108. After the power cord 182 is connected to the power socket, the user ensures that the mixing chamber 104 is securely closed by locking the lid 106 in place, thereby preventing any spillage during the mixing process. Upon activation, the mixing unit 108 within the multi-functional hair comb 100 begins to blend the aloe vera and the hair care ingredients into a smooth, uniform liquid mixture. This well-mixed liquid mixture is now ready for application to the user's hair.
[0070] Once the liquid mixture is prepared, the user disconnects the power cord 182 from the multi-functional hair comb 100 for easier mobility. The user grips the handle unit 134 of the multi-functional hair comb 100 for steady and strain-free handling. The multi-functional hair comb 100 is then positioned on the scalp, thereby ensuring that the soft, flexible bristles 122 make contact with both the scalp and the hair. This positioning allows for the even distribution of the liquid mixture, thus ensuring that the treatment reaches all areas, from the scalp to the tips of the hair.
[0071] According to an exemplary embodiment of the invention, FIGs. 8A and 8B refer to perspective views of the multi-functional hair comb 100 depicting the operation of the actuation unit 124. In one embodiment herein, the user then presses the push button 130 to trigger the movement of the second push pin 164 forward via the connecting shaft 162. As the inclined surfaces of the first and second push pins (158, 164) engage with one another, the forward movement of the second push pin 164 drives the first push pin 158 upward. This upward motion causes the knobs 152 on the inner casing 150 to slide along the W-shaped groove profile 154 in the outer casing 156. This sliding movement facilitates the rotational movement of the outer casing 156, which in turn rotates the rotating plate 114. As a result, the apertures 116 of the rotating plate 114 align with the openings 112 of the base plate 110 and the perforations 120 of the fixed plate 118, thereby allowing the uniform liquid mixture to be dispensed.
[0072] According to an exemplary embodiment of the invention, FIG. 9 refers to a perspective view of the multi-functional hair comb 100 depicting the operation of the handle unit 134. After the apertures 116 of the rotating plate 114, the openings 112 of the base plate 110, and the perforations 120 of the fixed plate 118 are aligned, the user gently presses the handle grips 142 on the handle unit 134, thereby causing the curved pins 174 of the unlocking bars 144 to disengage from the supporting pole 138. This disengagement enables the supporting pole 138 to move downward, thereby descending the pressure plate 132 within the mixing chamber 104. As the pressure plate 132 descends, it applies pressure to the liquid mixture inside the mixing chamber 104, thereby forcing the liquid mixture through the perforations 120 of the fixed plate 118, thereby effectively dispensing the liquid mixture onto the user's scalp.
[0073] While the liquid mixture is being dispensed, the user continues to comb their hair, allowing the soft plastic bristles 122 to evenly distribute the liquid mixture throughout the scalp and hair. This dual-action process, such as simultaneous dispensing and combing, ensures the liquid mixture is applied smoothly and evenly, thus maximizing the effectiveness of the treatment. The combination of the nourishing ingredients and the mechanical action of the multi-functional hair comb 100 promotes optimal scalp and hair care, thus hydrating, moisturizing, and revitalizing the hair from root to tip. This holistic application enhances the overall effectiveness of the treatment and improves hair health.
[0074] According to an exemplary embodiment of the invention, FIG. 10 refers to a flowchart 1000 of a method for operating the multi-functional hair comb 100. First, at step 1002, the user opens the lid 106 of the mixing chamber 104 to fill with the aloe vera and the one or more hair care ingredients. At step 1004, the user activates the driving unit 148 to rotate the one or more mixing blades 146 of the mixing unit 108 within the mixing chamber 104, thereby blending the aloe vera and the one or more hair care ingredients into the uniform liquid mixture.
[0075] At step 1006, the user activates the push button unit 127 to engage with the rotary drive unit 126 that rotates the rotating plate 114, thereby aligning the one or more apertures 116 of the rotating plate 114 with the one or more openings 112 of a base plate 110 and the one or more perforations 120 of the fixed plate 118 for dispensing the uniform liquid mixture from the mixing chamber 104.
[0076] Further, at step 1008, the user actuates the handle unit 134 to move the pressure plate 132 downward within the mixing chamber 104, thereby pressurizing the uniform liquid mixture through the one or more perforations 120 of the fixed plate 118 for dispensing onto the user's scalp.
[0077] The advantages of the present disclosure are evident from the discussion above. The multi-functional hair comb 100 designed for mixing and dispensing aloe vera and other hair care ingredients directly onto the scalp, thereby enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of hair care routines. The multi-functional hair comb 100 enhances the efficiency of hair care routines by eliminating the need for multiple tools and manual application methods, thereby allowing users to apply treatments seamlessly. The multi-functional hair comb 100 ensures even distribution of hair care products through a controlled dispensing mechanism, thereby reducing product waste and maximizing the effectiveness of the treatment.
