Abstract

ABSTRACT A method (100) for preparing a therapeutic formulation derived from Enicostemma littorale, the method (100) comprising harvesting Enicostemma littorale from its natural habitat, followed by drying and grinding the plant material to obtain a powdered form. Further, utilizing a solvent extraction method, such as ethanol, methanol, or water, to extract bioactive compounds from the powdered plant material. Further, filtering the mixture to separate the liquid extract from the solid residues. Further, concentrating the liquid extract under reduced pressure to obtain a concentrated extract. Further, mixing the concentrated extract with suitable excipients. Further, characterizing the prepared formulation using TLC analysis.

Specification

Description:FIELD OF THE DISCLOSURE
[0001] This invention generally relates to a field of therapeutic formulation and, in particular to a method for preparing a therapeutic formulation derived from Enicostemma littorale.
BACKGROUND

[0002] The subject matter discussed in the background section should not be assumed to be prior art merely as a result of its mention in the background section. Similarly, a problem mentioned in the background section or associated with the subject matter of the background section should not be assumed to have been previously recognized in the prior art. The subject matter in the background section merely represents different approaches, which in and of themselves may also correspond to implementations of the claimed technology.
[0003] The exploration of therapeutic agents sourced from natural flora has surged in recent years, largely driven by the increasing incidence of various health conditions, including metabolic disorders and inflammation. Enicostemma littorale, a plant recognized fo , Claims:1. A method (100) for preparing a therapeutic formulation derived from Enicostemma littorale, the method comprising:
harvesting Enicostemma littorale from its natural habitat, followed by drying and grinding the plant material to obtain a powdered form, at step 102;
utilizing a solvent extraction method, such as ethanol, methanol, or water, to extract bioactive compounds from the powdered plant material, at step 104;
filtering the mixture to separate the liquid extract from the solid residues, at step 106;
concentrating the liquid extract under reduced pressure to obtain a concentrated extract, at step 108;
mixing the concentrated extract with suitable excipients, at step 110; and
characterizing the prepared formulation using TLC analysis, at step 112.

2. The method (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the formulation is in the form of a capsule, tablet, syrup, or any other pharmaceutical dosage form suitable for oral administration.
